  • as a professional piper..id say this recording is not that of the person playing...at least not at the same time..the fingers are in different time..nice tune though.

  • @craigelemental possibly, but more likely, it's just the lag, or playback, whatever you want to call it.

  • Omedetoo gozaimasu!

  • I love your sound. The way you slide the notes makes it sound like a fiddle. Amazing.

  • @cunparis

    thank you!!

    i can`t english....sooryy

  • If you want an Overton, get an Goldie Overton Low D.

If you want a Guinness, get it in a Pint glass. Slainte !

  • I love the sound of the Low D. I have one of my own, sadly not as high quality as Overton: it's an Asarkar, Indian made. Makes your hands smell like metal after touching it, and it's got some dents from the shipping. I hope you can imagine how frustrating it is when the whistle doesn't respond well to note changes; it likes to squeak with vibrato. Good work!

  • It is easy to move it.

  • Is there a particular reason you don't use the "pipers" grip on your top hand?

  • awesome!

  • You have amazing control over the sound, and your breath.

  • thank you for watching!!

  • What a SOUND! Just know the basics on a tinwhistle but like to switch to a low D. Would it be very difficult to adapt?

  • maybe......

  • no i went from a c clarkes whistle and d guiness whistle lol to a low d and I've only been only playing for a few months and its the exact same, just be prepared to work on breathing techniques because you'll pass out trying to play something like this lol

  • @Dolly020 its different in that you use your fingers more like a piper in other words you cover the holes with different part of the finger and the breath control is a little diferent too but its just practise try and have fun you will love it good luck

  • awesome man i just ordered my low D chiefton, i cant wait to start recording, ive been playing the tin whistle for a long time but the stuff i play have more a haunting tone to it and i think the Low D will do my playing more justice rather then a high pitch flute

  • thank you watching!!

  • This is really beautiful, thank you! Overton low D sounds like a very good low D whistle to get.

  • thank you!!

  • No question, the Overton IS a great low whistle and the playing is very good. It does NOT sound exactly like the clip presented here though. There has been much processing (echo or reverb) applied. Make sure you listen to other clips of Overton and other whistles or you will be very disappointed when it does not sound like this when it gets to your house.

  • very nice men^^ congratulation u have a done with that instrument^^ i had one but its tin ... how much cost to you that?

  • thank you!!

    about 200~300$。
