This si not an idiotic problem. Because this shows meg whitmans stand on illegal immigration. I think that it shuldnt matter that Yes Diaz lied and she tricked town and country, and Whitman recieved the letter...but if the woman was honest and doing her respectful job for a number of years. I dont understand wy whitman would fire her. The relationship is what counts and should not the fact that she has papers. The u.s should comply with character rather than how someone entered the country.
I do care that a millionaire willfully circumvents the law because she is a millionaire and thinks she can get away with it. Weather or not she paid her is not the issue, it is that she willfully took a job from an American that she could have easily afforded to pay. She outsourced 40% of EBay. For the guy who commented, you sound like an idiot trying to save a sinking ship. your arguments are fallacies. "bandwagon" "Biased sample" "burden of proof" "post hoc"". Even reports know print is dead
You rich folks might think it's no big deal, but to average people, Whitman screwed up on two counts. Hiring her. Then firing her so coldly. If you're worried about status, you check early, then if you get that SSA letter, you deal with it again. But once you've worked someone for years, you really owe them some allegiance and support.
@wildgift2 Actually the employment agency hired her and then sent her to Whitman. She claimed to be legal and have all the legal docs as she provided such info to the employment agency. Then it turns out that she lied about her status and forged docs. Hence Whitman had no choice, but to fire her in order to comply with the law. Whitman didn't betray anyone's trust. Diaz betrayed Whitman big time & deserved to be fired.
Dude!!! She let this woman work for her for many years, then fired her for political gain. She keeps talking about jobs, hey bro, it would be fair to think as a cali man i should worry about my friends a and their families. ( those of latin decent ).
From a middle of the road guy. I disagree with your segment. How can you say that this is not a campaign issue? It absolutely is when Ms. Whitman is specifically running on that issue. Also, Ms. Whitman seems insincere when she says "...we love Nicki and she was an extended part of our family..." if true than why wouldnt she help this human get an attorney and stay in the states? Like it or not, whitman has a HUGE credibility and perception issue!
I can't disagree more. Nicky wants to ruin Megs chances of winning for her own illegal selfish self. This criminal behavior should not go unpunished. Nicky has this entitlement mentality and Yes this was all planned with the left. The corruption must stop! People need to be held accountable. She broke the law. What else did Nicky due in those 9 years?

Allred is exposing he client to charges of false documentation and deportation over gas money? Allred is using this woman for her own liberal agenda. She is in no way shape or form working for the housekeeper. She should lose her law license over that.
Almost as "idiotic" as impeaching a successful President for oral sex??Republican/ Democrat BS is ridiculous.Lets set aside the mudslinging rhetoric and do what's best for Americans first-ALL Americans!! As far as this issue; If it's proven that her statement about having no knowledge of the letter was a flat out lie, then she has no business anywhere as a trusted elected official. She has also made it clear that she only supports the "haves" and "have mores".This didn't work for the Bush 8 yrs.
@slama32 Meg Whitman and her husband did not know that the housekeeper was illegal. The housekeeper had a fake Social Security card, lied on the Form I-9, lied to the employment agency, and lied to Meg and her husband.
Also, the Social Security letter that Meg's husband received in the mail stated, "this letter makes no statement about your employee's immigration status." Employers receive that same Social Security letter when their employees, who are U.S. citizens, have name changes.
What I am having trouble with is this: Did Meg hire this woman from a temp agency? Mark Levin mentioned something about it in the interview. If she did, how can Meg be responsible for knowing where she is from? Wouldn't that fall on the temp agency?
On the other hand; Mark Levin's interview with house-keepers attorney, may elude to an association with the Jerry Brown campaign.

Conversely; Michelle Malkin has a piece where Whitman praises Van Jones: "Whitman gushed with praise for Truther/Marxist/race-hustler Jones and his “climate change” work... "
Like I said: there's something disingenuous about this lady. Let the left have her.
Everyone remember how the LA Times held out on the story of Arnold womanizing until just a few days before the election to try and shift the outcome? I guarantee they will do it again, this is just the first shoe to drop. The LA Times is a wing of the left coast progressive party.
Look, at this time it looks like the Demorats are running more dirty pool politics. Alan Grayson is doing similar things to Daniel Webster in the Florida 8th district. Question is why are the DemoRats doing these dirty pool campaign tactics in some of these key races? Because in my opinion they are desperate!
@starVol It's desperate to point out that someone running to gain a job as a trustworthy elected official is a liar? Pop the bubble you live in and use your head. Wake up!
You are pitiful in your ignorance....
