If you typed filename.*, it would delete everything which has the name "filename", no matter what the extension is. If you type filen*.jar, it would delete everything that began with filen AND had the extension .jar. Finally, if you type *.*, it will delete everything.

@forza3skillgod no you couldnt delete the whole c:\ because c: is the hard-drive it only deletes things that you can delete by right-clicking and pressing delete so it is impossible to delete c:\ you would have to delete every folder in it with different del commands which is hard because not all computers are gonna have the same files so if you wanna delete the whole computer your gonna have to actually know the person who your sending the virus to and get him to let you use his pc.

When a Program or Dynamic Link Library is currently in use the system replies back with an error of "Access Denied" or something as such depending on if it is in memory or locked by the system. Try infecting yourself w/ a true virus & use this to delete it. It doesn't work the same young one. Only useful as a cleanup utility. Just as if you were to pack explorer.exe; WFP steps in & takes over to help recover the changes. Of-course this all depends on what OS & SP

if you want to delete a file, it will ask you if you want to delete it or no. example: i want to delete new folder which contains a.exe and b.exe when you type in the batch file to delete the file, it will ask you to delete it or no. there fore you have to delete the files INSIDE the folder you wanted to delete

so it would be like:

del "C:\new folder\a.exe"

del "C:\new folder/b.exe

other wise its an awesome way to delete files
