If you are going to do a film review try to get to the heart of the film which is what Fellini did in this film- got to the heart of human relationships. Films are not about the camera angle or the technique as much as they are the artist's conveying emotion to the audience. La Strada is the quintessential film about exploitation, tragedy, love and despair set against the bleak poverty of post war Italy.
I agree that the emotional impact is the most important aspect of movies, but that doesn't mean the camerawork isn't important at all. It can be just as useful a tool as good acting, and good writing, which are both found here.
