I don't understand the critique like the rear seats are not spacious enough (which by they way I think they are), or the boot is too small. It's a hatchback. This is what a hatchback is, and you know what you're gonna get if you buy one. If you want more space get something else. for a hatchback it's spacious enough.

It's like saying, you dislike a swimming pool because it's so damn wet. That's what it is, live with it or move on.

@zoomvpro i got mine remapped when it had around 40,000 miles on the clock.

i recon ive done around 20,000 more since then. it drove great before but now it is fantastic. so much more tourque and far better accel.

ive since been to the nurburgring and put in some fairly good lap times in it

if u r half thinking about a re-map just do it. there has been no down sides for me

I love my '08 118d, handels superb for a hatchback

And it is NOT heavy to park, after a day of use you'r used to the electric power steering.

The back seats are NOT useless, i have driven with 4 adults in it very comfortable

And people always call the boot too tiny? You can fit more than a completely filled shopping cart in it, why do u need more in a hatchback? then get a mpv or suv if u want more ...

The 1s they sell in the UK dont make any sense to me. They are heavy, ugly hatchbacks with small small 4 bangers that have more practicality in mind than anything.  I like what BMW did in the US. A small coupe with a turbo 6 and great handling. None of this 4 cylinder diesel, 3 door garbage.

Couldn't agree more, the cars in the US would have to be better now of course. it must be a 5 liter V8 guzzler running at 5mpg. sounds about right.
