I didnt realize how fortunate I am to live 20 minutes from the Perth Mint - I just keep an eye on prices and when they are good go down and collect it over the counter.
One news I just read was Chinese government is still buying a great deal of US bonds for whatever reason. (the news was released yesterday from China). As long as the Chinese are buying US dollars, it may not collapse yet.
"the average person living paycheck to paycheck, with the credit card maxed out", thats not the average person outside of NA, at least not in Asia where I am from. If you are in debt, the first thing to do is get out of debt, not buy silver.
Chance favours those who are prepared. If you've squandered your wealth, thats just the way it is. But lets say if they scrap together $30/month for 2 ounce of silver, ie 24 ounces per year, if silver goes up by 1000%in, thats only $2400 cash made if you hold 24 ounces. Thats far less than the interest you would be charged had you not put cash directly to pay off that credit card debt instead.
You can only buy 1000 oz bars in Canada from the bank... Just bought one TD but they make it hard as hell to buy it...If anyone else knows something I don't please tell me...I want to buy 10 ozers etc from the banks but can't!
thats why its so hard for me to price gold and silver in terms of fed reserve notes; it seems like there is really no price because the paper dollars are fiat and the metals are real, rare valued items from the earth.
I'm using Mike Maloneys estimate that near silvers peak an average house should trade for 500 oz or less.
Bob Chapman thinks that we will have hyper inflation starting this year lasting for 3 years then deflation. His recommenation is silver for the hyper inflation then switch into Gold coins for deflation and ride it out.
APMEX is a great company, if you are ordering from within the US. They have a minimum order value of $50US, and a great selection of products. I also have to say that my experience with their customer service has been very gratifying.
As for silver, it's just a good idea to shelter your savings in it, even if it doesn't go up. I cashed in a mutual fund just in time to save what was left in it from this past week's market drops, and I'm putting it into silver. =^[.]^=
IT's never too late or early to get into the silver market. Buy 10-20% of your savings into some physical and some stock related silver and gold. Don't wait until it's too late.
I'm not sure I follow the line of thought regarding "Too Early". My Uncle began telling me to buy Gold and Silver as early as '98. He scooped up mining stocks and physical at bargain basement prices relative to the now. Silver is a long, short term strategy. VisionVictory calls it "Growing yourself out of debt". Silver is a buy, even at current prices. If we see a 2-4% drop in spot prices, the run will deplete the available supplies. This is good and bad. Scarcity is the profit/foundation.
Gerald Celente is saying that in February/March we will see a crash. So we are not too early. He has a channel on youtube. Also Heavyload1957 has some of his broadcasts. I also have some of Celente's broadcasts on my playlist.
Funny how nearly all CCs I'm finding have all their APR Rates plus PRIME ... I have yet to find one that is FIXED. Also, CHASE's credit limit link does not work on their site, lol so definitely, this is the time to get Silver esp when it's extremely undervalued

American gold and silver eagles are not reported no matter what quantity. No sales tax. Just use a dealer. A good dealer and don't pay high premiums.

Some states (TX, for example), charge no sales tax over a certain purchase amount. $1000 in TX.

How can you test the quality of silver and gold? Also I would never pay then wait to recieve. I want mine when I pay.

maybe chinese want to be sure they control the whole US because the US will be debtors, so slaves at the end.
That's why they might be buying bonds. I wouldnt do it.
China determines the price of the bonds, and hold the US hostage by this method. That might be worth a lot of money.

24X15=$360. I'd say if you're paying $2400 interest on a $360 loan, you're paying a bit too much.

You can also buy silver and gold at the post office (But you will have to pay huge premiums)

It's good to buy silver and gold at BullionDirect . com even though they take a while. Also eBay is ok if you want it right away.

Yes,
i got into pms in Feb 2008 - right at the height!
Oh well - but i still believe that was about the right time - for me.
Getting into Silver now i feel is not too early - 10 years ago yes it was too early.
In Aussie dollars i'm in front on Gold and just under in Silver - so it has worked out well so far!
So far so good.
