  • If they still used the Windsor block they would be getting such bad has mileage that we would be paying a gas guzzler tax on the gt. push rods are out of date. My buddy has a camaro and it get 4mpg less than me in the city and on the high way.

  • They made about 450 total. Which should be close to 500 at the crank. I think the boss could make 600 with more aggressive mods.

  • If you go to muscle mustangs site it shows that they gained 60hp or so.

  • with all those mods ..I think u gained about 35-40 Hp..am I right?;)

  • Honestly, it's kind of shitty to tell viewers they're going to get some piece of information in a video at the beginning and then say, "just kidding...go buy a magazine" at the end. I'm going to start buying everything at LRS.

  • Way I look at it is, if they can get 425 to the ground with the gt they should get 450 to the ground with the boss version

  • @wjpurnell That's actually how the intake/heat shield fit. It messes with your eyes, but the hood actually closes just fine, and seals well but doesn't rub, make noises or restrict airflow. Hope this helps!

  • 4 valves and 4 cams later Ford finally made something of the mod motor... screw it. Wish they would've at least had an updated version of the windsor for the Boss. They should've never dropped the pushrod design.

  • I know your company is all about improving the Mustang and getting better numbers, but the major buyers of the Boss 302 wont modify it because it's a collectors cars and is a great vehicle already as is.

  • Next thing you guys should do is put a set of stage 2 comp cams in it. Then after that try the stage 3 cams, then after that tune the car for 110 octane gas, and see what she does, I bet ya's before your done she will be putting down 500 hp to the ground, or possibly more.

  • What do you guys think about me getting a Boss 302 grille for my black '11 V6 with the Pony Package? The Tri-Pony Emblem would match the ones on the side of my car and on the rear. Thanks for the video, AM. I'm interested in seeing what results you get from these mods.

  • Also that is a auto 5.0 with no stall or headers. If it would have been a stalled auto with headers it would have beat t he Boss.

  • @ohioborn80 Stock tubular exhaust manifolds, no long tubes. Stock torque converter, as well!

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't these engines need time to "learn" new aftermarket parts.

  • @FIREthatMUTHAup They have technology for learning/correcting air/fuel ratio to a point, but almost every part from cold air intake and headers up to intake manifolds and cams require a custom tune for those mods from Bama Performance. This will make sure that the car runs dead-on. The 2011+ Mustangs have wideband o2 sensors so now even a mail-order tune from us can be as accurate as any dyno tune!

  • I think you should eventually run an externally wastegated compound turbo system (low boost) with a water/methanol injection kit and a hidden air-to-water intercooler kit.

  • @KemplandN WHy Evolution Performance already broke 1000whp with a procharger with a Boss.

  • @ohioborn80 To be different, and if you use low boost, you don't need to go forged internals. And I'd be willing to bet that the turbo'd car would be far more streetable than the Procharger car.

  • @KemplandN My point was the Procharger is proven already. The highest turbo car needed a shot of nitrous to make over 900whp. That was BBR's car. Built engine etc. KB has made over 800whp on the Boss as well. On a stock block. It has been done on regular 5.0 as well. I just installed a SC and made over 700whp on a stock block 5.0 on 93 octane. Will be turning it up some with E85 soon.
