And yet, in America's public schools (elementary and high school) teachers who teach that God created everything get fired, and students who say that God created everything get expelled from school. I see the beautiful universe, and recognized that it was created by something greater than me: the laws of physics. I see life, and understand that it was created from mutated genes naturally selected based on their survival rate. Just because something is amazing awe-inspiring, doesn't mean God made it.
The Bible contains proof of prophecy. No other book of any religion on earth comes close to foretelling future events like the Bible has thousands of times in the past. Just like people want Christians to accept homosexuality and abortion, shouldn't everyone else be able to accept Christianity. Accepting doesn't mean you have to believe it, but we expect the same toleration everyone else does.

@tjolazabal Well yea... but you can accept Christianity in theology class... what I see tragic is spreading this message through science class. Science class should be science only. I was fortunate enough to attend a theological studies class on Saturdays (Catholicism) alongside my normal public science class when I was younger, and I was able to make the choice of what to accept on my own.

now i dont have near the knowledge to debate over this stuff but in my limited knowledge of religion, Muslims, Mormons, and Christians all believe in one allpowerful, holy God. pretty sure we can all be telling the truth on that part. i can understand how one could not believe in Christianity or the Christian God but what i cant understand is how one cant believe in some sort of Creater. @mjhallfs whether or not he sidesteps the argument or not i cant comment on because i honestly cant remember what he said in that book. but what i can say no matter how much suffering you have while on earth it would be so...unimportant in the time frame of eternity. and i believe in that book he said that if God created you (and not to mention bought you) then wouldn't it be totally fine for him to take you back? i doubt you will settle for that.

God has given us freedom of choices. God wouldn't mind control us to not to commit evil deeds. But he's pulling us, our conscience of morality is given in our hearts, and he wants us to turn away from evil things we do. he has given us rights to make decisions.

It is impossible to create a concept of 'God' unless it is a fact. Everything humans think of or create is taken from creation or is a hybrid of what is known. Therefore it would be impossible to even theorise the concept of God unless it is a real entity. Try it. Think of something that is not a part of or hybrid of creation.

while louie is using the discovery of science to prove the awesomeness of God, i wonder if it affects his view of traditional view of Creation. what he presents shows that the 7 days of creation is not possible. it compels him to go beyond biblical literalism to be consistent on what he presented and what he believes. it compels him to rethink his view of jesus as literally Son of God, creator of all things, etc.
