In am not debating but need to clarify with StCopiaz. It's not accurate to say "it's more appropriate (in African custom) to stand during consecration." The standing occurs when there has been a song preceding the liturgy of the Eucharist...the priest guides the choir to stop singing...or may proceed with the prayers of consecration....Let me emphasize this...the community kneels at the start of the Eucharistic prayer...reverence is observed in the Presence of Jesus.

I can confirm "sepulvjl" that this is indeed the catholic church in kayelitsha. They also have the missionaries of charity next door who caters for Aids victims.

This is a mass where children recieve the Scarament of Holy Communion and its a great celebration to the parents and family of the community, hence the song and dance. This is not charistmatic may i add.

In the african custom, it is more appropriate to stand during the consecration, than kneel, for those who wondered.

(1) My mother is not God, therefore my mother is not omni-present. The angels Gabriel and Michael are not omni-present, they are angles, and they can only be in one place at one time. Even Satan can only be in one place at one time, which is why he has trillions of demons to do his work. Jesus said in Mark 12:25 that when men die they become like angels in heaven. They do NOT become God who is omni-present.

God killed him for it.
