He's such an immensely fascinating man. Everything he does is just absolutely wonderful. I'd really love to meet him someday. He seems like such an interesting and kind person.
How I wish that I could meet and listen to this glorious man he is so articulate .I live in the UK anyone know if this great man is likely to visit the UK in the near future oh how I admire his talents everything from scuba, horse riding languages acting directing photography poetry the list is endless . I really do look to this man as an inspiration
As a Trek fan, I can't help but find the fact that this video was made by a mister "Charlie Evans" highly amusing! (See the TOS episode 'Charlie X' for explanation.)
I had the chance to see Nimoy speaking on his photography in St. Louis a few months ago. I have never been more entertained or enlightened than I was listening to this man just be himself. He's an incredible person.
Beautiful. He's a very intelligent, very passionate and very compelling individual. It's totally vicarious I know, but I'm glad he's been there somehow - in whatever role - all my life.
Only Leonard Nimoy could realise a spiritual relevance for a potentially silly, basically just pop TV sci-fi character like Spock for an audience (of any religion) today. More L. Nimoy's in this world, please...
Do Catholics play tiddly-winks with the sacred Host?
Believe me, the scene Nimoy enacts in the first three minutes is a bizarre mutation of normal Jewish prayer, which does NOT include hand gestures or pulling the **talith** over the head like a child playing at worship.
IDK, I think he was dead serious. Despite his reputation being built on an unnaturally level-headed fictional character, Nimoy himself is, um... well, let's just say he has more in common with Shatner than people realize.
My creative writing professor once told me a story years ago about when she went to a reading for Nimoy's book of photography. During the Q&A session, she said one person asked, "How did you make the pictures all blurry?" She says she'll never forget the dead silence and the look on Nimoy's face.
I LOVE LEONARD NIMOY! While his photos usually aren't up to the level that I think that galleries and museums would like, he still is a very adept photographer. He leaves most amateurs in the dust, IMO. While I don't believe he's the best photo artist, he's good. Plus, how many of us can say we're competent in like, 7 fields? He recorded music, made art, acted, directed films. Is there anything this guy tries that he isn't good at? What's next? Hockey? If he tries it, I'll be watching. ;-)
I think your comment is a reasonable assessment. I think he takes his endeavors seriously and at the very least you get the idea that he tries to have varied dimensions. A pretty good example for anyone to follow, in that regard.
Mr Nimoy is a very talented man. I love his photograph of the woman with the light appearing to come from within her - it is outstanding. I will have to try to get a copy of his book "Shekhina" which could be difficult in Australia but very worthwhile.
Leonard Nimoy is the most intelligent man I have ever seen in my life. He is a very nice person (as much as I have seen about him) and I think that one could talk with him about hours about many interesting things. And he is a very loyal person as well. Therefore I adore him.

Mr. Nimoy has inspired me to try and become an actor.
Call me in 10 years when I've gotten out of Hick Town, and I'll let you know what happened. LOL

If I wasn't 14 I would of done it already. Dammit.
It was very enlightening this video. Leonard Nimoy is one of the most articulate speaker I have heard.

"More L. Nimoys" I mean, of course. Damn, out-of-control apostrophes!

Maybe thats how they do it in Russia.
Traditionally as a catholic I'm used to the priest talking in the local language and facing the front.
However before priest used to talk in Latin and talk to the cross and they may still do it in some places.
I'm not Jewish, but I think it makes sense for the priest to cover their faces if the spirit kills you when you see it.

As a Jew, this lecture is deeply embarrassing to me.
Can you sink any lower than mocking your own faith to make money?
randyselig 4 years ago
How was he mocking it? I ask out of curiosity (isn't jewish). Was his humor about it offensive?

This comment has received too many negative votes show
