@lagosusng amuru mu na ala America mana m n'asu Igbo. I encourage all Igbo kids like me to learn Igbo! Please it is essential to our culture. Chukwu gozie ndi Igbo nile!
@lagosusng It looks horrible for Igbos to speak Engilsh to one another. My challenge to all, including myself is simple "SPEAK IGBO" If your fluency in the language is low, do something about it. Do google search with "family radio, igbo" Download some thier podcasts. That will help. Take Igbo seriously. Talk to you later in "IGBO"
The Igbo dialect is loosing its rightful position .We all cant make good lines with Igbo.Everybody speaks english. We have to re awaken the dialect consciousness...and has to start from the grassroots...Our government is practically doing nothing and things keep falling apart
@greatcollins4real Thanks for your comment. Did you understand the lyrics? By listening to the song you help make my point. Would you prefer that the song was in English? Did you not enjoy hearing something other than English? English is good but we cannot allow it to kill our languages. Iam not a tribalist. I am a Nigerian and very proud of that.
@lagosusng, what about you start by writing this posting in 'Igbo" and see how that work?. Yes, we are killing the language, our children now all speak English even in the village. That is bad new. What is worse, I am not sure how many educated igbo people (that includes me) can write/read igbo. Once we loose the language, the rest of the rich culture, including the music will follow suite. Why do young parents think that their children cannot speak igbo and still learn English? Not wise?
wonderful song with good sound, the base guitarist played a wonderful role and obi obidgbo u voice will continue ringering as long as human exist.Chidimma okafor keep the good sound going,Thanks be to God for such a wonderful inspiration, the hit track,NNA KAGBUE YA it gives me joy and confidence whenever listening to it.Thanks brother and remain blessed...
why should it be translated? Why dont others who are interested learn the language? That way we will be preserving our languages and cultures and spreading out it to others. This nonsensical anglizisation of Nigeria MUST stop. Mind you, I am a YORUBA man of ILAJE Descent. I enjoy the music bcos its natural.
This is the first time I have heard their music. It is beautiful and I love their humility - humility can show like beauty in someone's face and it most definitely does in hers.
