Believe it or not my cat NEVER gets treats or people food, really. His weight's just the result of me allowing him to "free feed" on dry cat food whenever he likes (i.e., I refill the dish when he bugs me about it). I've recently switched him to a grain-free cat food and he's lost about 2 pounds, which is significant for a cat.

Yeah, I recently weighed him...28 pounds! That means he's lost about 2 pounds. I guess me letting him romp around in the backyard has helped to lean him out a bit. Don't worry, he's still really chunky though.
