D&B must draw reference to culture beyond itself, in order to survive. This tune leads the way, but who has followed?

Sax, I couldn't agree with you more. D&B has to follow these examples, and it is unfortunate it never quite did. However, this was 1998, the so-called "golden age" of D&B, so this kind of stuff (especially on Partisan) was very experimental "out there" kind of drum and bass. Nu Direction and the old 720 also come in to mind.

Now you hear a bunch of commercialized garbage beyond disbelief.
