  • I love how her 1/4 miao from her matetnal grandma suddenly made her represent miao when culturally ,China also maintain paternal lineage. Thank you communist party, you just overturned 3000 year Han ethnic unity single handedly within half a century. Our ancestors are watching over you!

  • Wo hen shi huan Song Zuying. Ta hen hao le!

  • jang bueee jaang julaa bianeee xD

  • couldn't t hey have found any better looking guys to go in the video? they are all so ugly.

  • Grazu :)

  • a few years ago i went to Hanoi for a holiday, and went up the mountainous regions to meet the different Hmong tribes. just crossing the border is Yunnan. last checked i am supposed to be Chinese, but it doesn't matter, 'coz i actually fell in love with the Hmongs that i met.

  • Impressive and powerful voice. Best of the best in this planet.

  • How come I've never seen Hmong chicks this cute in Sac?

  • very good

  • China's world-class singer who can sing from soprano to pop songs to folk songs full of local colors. Versatile, patriotic, lively and pretty she can be quoted as a nationa treasure!

  • 民歌真是太棒了,直入心里的感觉

  • I give her a respect of gaining an equivalent of Colonel in the PLA and gained a place in the Library of Congress, one of the few.

  • Let's facing the fact that she has made every effort to sing at the Hmong Chinese New year, a reminder that part of her is Miao

  • Nice Video - Thanks

  • I'm a first generation Hmong American and I can catch some Hmong words among the lyrics. I feel sad that many Hmong Americans can't tell the difference. And the majority of Hmong people DO live in China. Guess some people don't ask their grandparents or the seniors of the Hmong community. That's sad.

  • @SunaoTsuji

This is a song apparently derived from a folk song of the Tujia ethnic group of the Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, in the southwestern part of Hubei, a province in central China. Although the Tujia do have a language in the Tibeto-Burman language family, most Tujia no longer use this language, speaking Chinese instead. There are only about 70,000 speakers of Tujia, out of a total population of 8 million Tujia. Although the singer is Miao, this song is sung in Chinese.

  • did she sing chinese ? . it was similar the chinese . it maybe hmong but i can not listen what she sing. it is different with mee hang .

  • Nvr mind Han, Miao or Hmong!! Wow! I m enthralled & greatly awed by the diverse sub-cultures within Chinese culture. Coming from a chinese family myself but western educated, my only wish is that our great diverse chinese heritage will not be eroded by globalisation little by little. Wish U the best in all your endeavours to continue uploading such wonderful clips so everyone can hv such pleasurable pursuit. Wd like to wish all future uploads to also hv titles in english letters..Thank U.

  • Colloquial, spontaneous, plenty of local colors: Among Sung's best!

  • Feel proud being a Miao!

  • Nice places and pretty song

  • If you add the title in English letters ("Long Chuan Diao") to your title or video description, the way you have Song Zuying's name, it will make it easier for people who cannot type in Chinese to search for this song.

  • lol this sounds like a funny song =D I like this one haha =)

  • They are seaily to tell only because they wear unique clothes, if they wear the same clothes as HAN people did, they looked quite the same.

  • She has only 1/4 Miao(Hmong) blood from her grandma(mom's mother), both her father and mother are HAN Chinese, She was brought up by her grandma, so she keeps the same ethnic with her gramma as Miao. All mainland Chinese know that. Actually, Miao and HAN chinese already mixed together for hundreds of years, it's hard to tell the difference from their face.

  • @tiezi00 oh really? i think maybe you haven't met the real miao people. in fact they are easily to tell

  • hmong zoo tsaj txua hom neeg nyob hauv ntiaj teb

  • She's so f*ing sexy, I want one just like her.

  • This is a great song

    Wow.

  • sb said sb's words

  • 宋祖英唱的歌一听声音就可以听出来是她唱的。。。

  • 好曲好景好風光,充分表現少數民族歡樂的一面,尤其水中嘻戲孩子,健康活潑。象徵國家民眾興隆昌盛!

  • Han people are vastly spread over China. Normally, people think people in South look pretty, because they care more about making up and dressing up. and also south China generally has more mild weather. But people in North are normally strongly built and their facial features could be more impressive. Very different style of beauty. My ancestors are from Shandong and Hebei and it is very likely that I share the Blood of Manchurian, even I was brought in Nanjing.

  • A classic Tujia folk song.

  • Beautiful Song Zuying!

  • Magnificent video, and Woman, Song Zuying. Xie Xie, Xie Xie.

  • 大多数是咱中国人在评论啊? 好些人用英语回呢

  • ai women de yinyu

    没有更好的。

  • haha,NO!just kids on Jiang Zemin, cause we don't like he,but he seems like that adore Song, there are some kids on Jiang

  • lol

  • love these happy musical colourful mvs

  • All Hmong outside of China are originate from China. So that makes them all Chinese by nationality and Hmong by Ethnicity. All Australians, Canadians, Americans, New Zealanders, South Africans, are all English descent, so that make them all English.

  • huh?

  • chairman mao adore her voice let him rest in peace

  • she is a really pretty and powerful singer!

  • i want to go back to china

    -Meixiang

  • Oh I love it when culture mix together to make something so Kick as. It not neither but both.

  • Oh I love it when culture mix together to make something so Kick as. It not neither but both.

  • I always appreciate the rich and diverse art forms of Hmong from all over the world. However, all this bantering whether Song, Zuying and Ayouduo are Hmong is getting a little old and frankly annoying. Hmong -Americans should note that we're also CHINESE in more ways than we care to admit. Just be proud that Chinese culture whether it be Hmong or Han is being appreciated in the west. Chinese are no long the "sick man" of Asia. Oh, and if you're going to post check your grammar.

  • Comment removed

  • @christiansoldier1869 OK, Mr. Grammar, let's check on yours first.....In your comment, should there be a comma after "Chinese culture" and one after "Han"? Should it be "no longer" instead of "no long"? And, last but not least, should there be a comma after "post"? I think so and you should, too.

  • @christiansoldier1869 Totally agreed with you and I hoped that the Hmong-Americans should read this first before posting.

  • @christiansoldier1869 sorry Hmong is not Chinese, yes their are Hmong Chinese in China but Hmong are Hmong just like Vietnamese is Vietnamese. I consider myself a Hmong American we are not Chinese and well never be, Just like The Diversity of America.

  • @christiansoldier1869

Hmong is Hmong.... Hmong Chinese is not Chinese.... They are Hmong people that live or born in China.... like Hmong live and born in USA, commonly known as Hmong America or Hmong Laos and Hmong Thai live in USA...

thanks for your comment... the subject help us young Hmong educate our self more about our ancestry histories....

  • @MrHaterinfection

Hmong is not Chinese but Miao is Chinese, if you say they are not Chinese in front of them in China, they will kick your ass.

  • @tiezi00

i understand what you're saying.. Hmong Chinese is Hmong Chinese.. Hmong America is Hmong America.. I'm Hmong and I'm the first generation in the USA... i consider myself as an American... if anyone says I'm not an American and they call me Chinese or whatever i would kick their ass...

  • @MrHaterinfection

you are funny,Miao Chinese is native Chinese for thousands years

  • @Thereef10001

that is what i said or did i say something wrong... Miao Chinese is citizen of Chinese like myself, a Hmong live and born in USA, is an American citizen... OK.. enough with this subject..

  • What language does she sing? It seems she

singing in Madarin, right? I saw once she attended European convention center to sing as opera, because most of the people were white and the conductor was a Chinese guy. So, I could say that she was a talent lady and capable woman. I dont know how long did these Videos have been recorded and how long

since she went out to the paradises to make each of the albums. But seemed me that she

just produced afew years ago. It is that right?

  • I'm her big fan,so I appreciate what you guys saying. She is singing in Madarin and the albums was produced about three years ago.She is the most famous folk singer in China. She had conernt in Vienna Golden Hall, Sydney Opera House and The John F.Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. I adore her :)

  • meditation23,

Hoh, u are her big fan huh! I also appreciated that u still replied me and u

told me almost corrected what I have said

    above. See u Man!

  • chinese

  • Ingredient music, sing and dancing involvement. I think she has made historical for her albums. She looked cool and her companions also loved her to participate with

the requested or whatever when she asked.

Yes, the real actresses and actors can do with

big crowd it is not always, but usual.

Thanks for posting her Videos and nice to see a lady like her!

  • These Miao Chinese girls truly are beautiful. In ratio, they are much more good looking Miao girls than the majority Han population. I mean there is like 1.2 Billion ethnic Hans and of that 1.2 Billion, there's probably only 1 in 10000 that looks really good, literally. A couple of buddies of mine went to China a couple years ago and they were pretty disappointed and that was what they told me.

  • StudLife258 and meditation23,

Can your guys Erasing ur comment here as soon

as possible, Please? Brothers or Waw xung dee.

  • No offence. Just made an explanation.

I love Song and also love Miao people.

  • Studlife28 and mditation23,

cant remove ur guys comments then never talk

about my Han and my Hmong people anymore!

people just too scary to read ur guys co...

just mention the videos so she can improve it.

Dont talk about people outside her videos, men! Never never okay! see u waw xung dee.

  • That's funny, but not exact. I see Han girls everyday right here in China, and they are good looking too. Of coure,Song is a beautiful Miao, but there still are many Miao girls are not so good. Maybe one day you can come to China and check it by yourself .

  • I was talking about ratio. I hear rich Chinese business men like to go up in the mountains and lure/pay for young Miao girls to be their 2nd wifes/mistresses. That's what I heard.

Paexou, I believe I can not erase any comments. I think the video poster can however. And what I stated above was information I got from my friends who are Cantonese American.

  • I don't know what you guys talking about...

Paexou, I don't understand why you are so agitated.I am a Chinese,I talked something about my people which is harmless,so what? Just you can talk about MY Hmong people?

StudLife28 what you heard of 2nd wives is not true...

  • I think it's pretty common knowledge. But there is 1 billion of you. I'm sure not all of you guys will know this. And it's true, my Cantonese American friends came back from China after a month vacation and said most the Han Chinese girls are not good looking.

  • Studlife28,

This is not something to talk about, MAN!

Good looking and beautiful are economics.

Not about people, so dont talk about peopl!

U understand now brother or waw xung dee!!!!

  • What does waw xung dee mean? and I'll stop talking about how people look. I was only trying to get a reaction out of someone like yourself.

  • StudLife28,

The world" WAW XUNG DEE" meant" MY BROTHER"

in Chinese language, ok! Understand now?

So ur guys stop combing other peoples hair now? Remember who we are, ok!

  • OK. Thank You. You have humbled me now.

  • She's definitely singing in mandarin, just with a little tune of Hubei dialect for the atmosphere of the song. She is a miao(hmong) people but she speaks mandarin.

    Just enjoy the song.

  • So is she speaking Miao or Chinese and if Chinese, is it Mandarin?

  • Hubei Chinese dialect.

The guy sounds like my dad.

  • Are these people really hmong chinese?

  • According to the credit at the end of the video, they consist of at least two related ethnicities, one of them being non-Hmongic Miao.

  • I love to see Hmong Chinese and Hmong lao

dancing and singing. Because their clothing

or dressing so flowers or so beautiful. That

can attract to watch. Keep it up!

  • perfect celebration and beuatiful my hmong

chinese ladies and men. See u, Ja-mata, xiexie ni, sibntsib. Hagimemashite & osakini.

  • wow she so purtty lyke ayoudo n also has a very gewd voice lyke ayoudo..!buttah yah they both r very gewd in thur own way..!

  • 这首民歌是湖北民歌而不是 湖南民歌!之所以在湖南拍 是因为宋祖英是湖南人 同时也因为借着湘西名气!

  • i love it too... it's great.. mountain voices are BEAUTIFUL.. lmao

  • I love that loud voice... really amazing!

  • my native language hoho

  • ahahaha.. of course MIAO have loud voice.. they're fond of singing... they sing in the dark, under the moon, up high in the mountain.. they sing at the crops field, they sing when marry, and they even sing during festival and when they're bored.. lol... MIAO people are great singer.. especially if you want to listen to folk songs..

  • Damn, those Miao have loud voices.

  • it's not that the Miao have loud voices...it's our traditional way of singing. it's just like western opera.

  • I know them Miaos in China sing like that....but I'm just saying, their voices are fuckin loud. Perfect for singing from them high mountains!

  • scottv,

louder voices are real men or are the men!

  • "Hey.... my people"!!!

  • Wow! What's the song about?

  • i think it's something like - she wants to cross the river but because she does not have any boat she asks for help from the men and they answer that they will gladly help her cross the river.

  • Thank you. Her videos are beautiful.
