Great game - the aquatic theme does freak me out slightly though.. The later games in the series have this loopy 'mermaid rave' music - very odd O_o

The "Warning, Huge battleship is approaching"-message is one of my favourite things when it comes to shooters. Plus, blowing up robotic aqautic life is Always fun! :)

You enjoy darius that much on the snes luke.Then i highly suggest super darius for the pce 1&2.Also darius gaiden and part 2 as was well on the sega saturn.

Its definitely a cool game, I like the aquatic enemies. But it's hard to get excited about with so many other great shooters on the SNES.

i've got darius II for the mega drive and it's a pretty good shooter, i love that you can take alternate routes between levels it's a real nice feature.

This is good but the 2nd and last Darius game on the SNES 'Darius Force (Super Famicom) Super Nova(SNes) is way better grahically and musically, but its hard as balls!!

Good shmup. Not the best of the Darius series, but still fun. I highly recommend the Parodius series (judging from your collection, I'd assume you've already played the 3 Sufami iterations), especially Gokujou Parodius!
