Thanks Tim and Ksiegowyaz, I figure getting the olympic bar and weights is priority, and then a basic squat rack and bench. I might look into getting the bowflex dumbbells that go from 10-90 pounds down the road, for $299 it seems to be a great buy.
make sure you get a safety cage around the squat rack. its safer and you can do curls off of them. its worth the money so you wont have to have a spotter everytime you squat
I know I'm not Joe, but a decent set of free weights and a good bench, wouldn't go a miss. That's what I have when I can't get to the gym.... I just run really tough circuits, fills in the gaps nicely.
Look for used cheap weights (plates and db's), a decent olympic bar (EFS sells their bar for 325). Then, you can put some money away for a rack and a bench - that's pretty much all you need.
gotta be more reactive

Don't save money on the bar though. Buy the best one you can.

Does anyone know, if you can buy EFS equipment anywhere in Europe? I seek mostly for a prowler, GHR bench and a reverse hyper.

TheB1gSleep -- Take a look at Power Blocks adjustable db's I have had mine for 15 years and love them.
My favorite piece of equipment.

I can only find ones that go up to 50lbs though? Am I missing something? If I can find ones that go to 100 I'd definitely invest

Joe, you have any tips on how one could get a decent home gym setup started with around $400 in budget?
