Of course she voted for McCain. It was in her best interest as a rich person to do so, just as it wouldn't have been in her best interest if she were like the majority of the country and just Middle Class. It doesn't matter if the majority of us can't afford things because her family can and always will and her family wouldn't have to contribute in taxes to any public program that would only help everyday Americans. People vote their interests unless like most they are fooled out of it.

When you tax the "rich" who earn 250k+ YOU will feel the impact as it hurts those who you get your paycheck from, also who you buy your groceries/gas/clothes from! Although our opinions differ on the effectiveness of the 'trickle down theory' of economic prosperity. I hope that we agree that we are both deeply concerned for our country. The massive deficit and debt this country owes to China is something I can honestly say I think about every single day. I am not a far leftist either. We seemed to be doing okay economically in the 90's and I think the rich can afford those tax levels. The only thing we worried about then was who Bill was sleeping with.

i disagree with you greatly.when we tax the rich they feel almost like nothing happened. They have money to spend that standard Americans don't have. They get advantages with the money and power they have. People who make little to no money at all are homeless or on the verge of being homeless. I don't know about you but this concerns me greatly. I believe that Republicans only want to help other rich, white Republicans. SOME Democrats on the other hand help the needy and less fortunate.

Then when people interview them, they're so brainwashed that they defend their choice. When the reporter brings up their problems they cover it up with something similar of " I know that they will be able to perform the task well". That's what they said when Bush got in and they said" Maybe he can do better this time" when he was re-elected.
