@Chargersman77 There's no way the Big Buff is going anywhere with the way he has been playing. I don't understand how anyone who watches the Blackhawks would consider getting rid of him. The fowards that should be worried are Fraser and Ladd, due to their low point generation this season. Either way, Sopel has to go. He is slow, doesn't move very well, and you can see his problems when he's paired with Hjalmarsson or Campbell.

How many pts did he have last year against Calgary and DET and against NSH this year? I'd hate to lose that versatility with him being able to play D if there is an injury, but there are other big bodies who can screen who have decent hands...Holmstrom may have a few years left...

Secondly, not one of the four referees or linesmen had an arm up on the initial play. It was only decided that Kronwall would be penalized after the home crowd bitched about if for five mintues.

Kronwall JUMPED INTO Havlat. Therefore, Kronwall's hit on Havlat = Charging. Kronwall has a habit of jumping during his hits. Watch some highlights of him hitting. Hence, Kronwall = dirty player.

Dirty is slightly extending your elbow as you skate past someone so you catch his jaw knock him out a la Pronger. Pronger is dirty. Avery is dirty. Claude Lemieux was dirty. Kronwall, is absolutely not dirty. Sloppy, and leaves room for improvement? Yes. But dirty? No way.

@Smeags11 Jumping ON your hits, not into. Kronwall puts a lot of upward momentum into his checks, and for that reason, almost always leaves his feet after making contact. But on the Havlat hit, as with many others, he doesn't jump BEFORE contact, which is what deems a charging call. He jumps well after making contact, which also happens to be a natural result due to physics. You're a moron; move along.

The lines man must wait until play is dead to make that call. Lastly if a major penalty results in an injury the player is ejected and given a game misconduct. Yes by the rules lot of Kronwall's hits are dirty but from what I've studied in sports management they won't call most of those because it sells tickets.

I mean you have to look down for that brief second to get the puck especially when the puck is out of control like it was. Actually one of the well, unwritten rules for interference, as Hal Gill says, is that if a player who hasn't yet picked up the puck like Havlat did, is if his head is up then he is considered in possession and if his head is down he is still probably trying to locate the puck so he doesn't have possession. Now Havlat never once faked at the puck he just lead the puck. Maybe it took a slow bounce of the boards but Kronwall needs to notice that and adjust to that and just play the loose puck.

And btw how is hossa out for just money if he signed with the wings when the Pens offered him more. So the wings couldn't afford him for another year, thats not his fault, so Chicago offered him a long term contract, thats what he wanted, a long term contract with a cup worthy team. Only after did Detroit offer him a contract that consisted of quite a pay cut. He wanted a cup and deserved one before he retired. I'd rather a player who wanted the cup even if he only stayed one season.
