  • @6883franz - A very good icing recipe to make at home is a swiss buttercream which uses a swiss meringue as a base. When made with butter, it has a great texture and it holds up well. Plus it's easier to make than Italian buttercream. You can download the recipe from my site at TheAubergineChef(dot)com
