This song somehow incorporates everything that is a good western. Fitting it should have a home in "Once Upon a Time in the West". Makes you feel gritty, and makes you like the grit.
respect to the teens doing exams listening to this, i found the good bad and the ugly when i was doing exams.. not that i passed any exams though or even attended some, but your in the right direction, as for this song what can i say, actually the movie itself is class, one of my uncles told me the best western ever made, definatley agree on par with the good bad and the ugly! x
@Cornography1996 hahahaahha wow dude, you literally just described what I am doing. I'm doing business stats and western movie themes help me concentrate.
Its soo obvious that Red Dead Redemption incorporated alot of elements based on this movie... Think about it. The music, the locations such as the Ridgewood farm (a mockup of the McBain Estate, and the station during the beginning (armadillo train station). This movie is perhaps the greatest western, and the greatest western video game grabbed every bit of inspiration from this film
@SophEye305 i loved red dead and really got to know the characters, to the point now where im filing to change my name to john marston by deed poll. on your recomendation, ill watch this film
rewatched this movie after 2 years, still a classic in my eyes, the look that he has at the end, the first time i saw this movie, when he was under his brother with the harmonica playing with his heavy breathing, i realized how cruel people can be. such a sad truth.
This song turned me from a modern aged feminim man into a REAL man, an alpha male. Maybe for just 3 and a half minute, but still... I'm getting closer to becoming that real man.
when i found out this was by Ennio I knew that only good soundtrack like this could only be composed by him, im a fan of his work in many other movies
I listened to this before an exam last month, as i walked into the room i replayed it in my head and walked past looking at one of the teachers with that squinty badass look.... i passed in the end :D
for those who knows pirates of the caribbean, the first part must sound familiar to one movie's soundtrack... hm... I wonder where Hanz Zimmer got his inspiration from... lol
@staniboy1234 Hey now, if it weren't for Leone's films, RDR wouldn't even exist. Don't say it has NOTHING to do with this song, because in the soundtrack there are plenty references to it.
also, if you remember the stand off in zombieland when jesse eisenberg and woody harelson first meet, the music in the background is from "For a few follars More"
I saw a twentynine of these dusters a short time ago, they were waiting for a train. Inside the dusters, there were twentynine men. Inside the men, there were twentynine bullets
Nostalgic. Ennio Morricone, Henry Mancini, John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith are the composers who gave the soul to many cult-movies. Music and movies nowadays are so shallow.
This music contributes perfectly to the atmosphere of the movie. This has to be one of the greatest tunes ever. And of course one of the greatest movies. So amazing... O.o
When the little boy came out of the house to see his family butchered and the score began with a sharp elegance, I knew this would be one of the best movies I'd ever see.
