Whatever you do, don't drop your current insurance until you know your new insurance is in full effect. Some insurance companies will just try to take your money and run. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is suppose to be one of the best. I keep you in my prayers that you find who you need to get what you need. I've been there keep the faith all is not lost. xo
Don't give up Hue Bear! Did Kaiser initially promise to pay? I have Anthem /Blue Cross PPO. Paid for everything but my deductible and co-pays.
Take care and keep us posted! When shopping, be sure to ask about exclusions and WHEN they will cover (may could this as pre-existing and make you pay premiums for a year or to before paying). Be careful! It's an industry designed to pay as little as possible!
I am so happy that you are not giving up. I have Blue cross and the only out of pocket expense that I had was medi fast and my co-pays. Wishing you all the best of luck. Hugs, Kim
i work for chase bank and i have blue cross blue shield of illinois and they paid 100% with the exception of my $250.00 co-pay, it took about 6 months to get everything together but i had to really dig for old medical records to prove i have been overweight for over 5 years but you have it all together-they have channels to go through too but it was worth it!!!and they want a record of a weekly weigh in for 6-12 months.
I have Anthem-Blue Cross, Wish you luck, I had to found a new surgeon and going to see him Sept 26. for a long waited surgery date, SO proud of you for not giving up HOPE, Hugs to you
i have minnesota care which wont help you:( but im wordering if you can go to your hospital and see if they have some kind of program that will pay for you to have it? explain your situation to them. Mine is being paid for by charity care which is through the hospital i am going through. my insurance only pays 10k so that is something to keep in mind :) hang in there!
And one more thing... My first insurance complany denied me too. I wasn't as far along in the game as you, but I did have to switch insurance companies and start all over at one point. It was totally worth the effort, though, so hang in there!
