the swelling is called chill blain i believe. common for a lot of people. just warm the hands up. i have poor circulation in my hands and they are always cold to the touch so i think that may be why i don't get the swelling on there but my legs get it like a champ. Just get the body part warm.

Lets say you are out somewhere and you arent near a sink. If you sneeze in your hands then you most likely spread germs.

Even if you just wash your hands afterwords, it's just safer to always sneeze in your elbows. You'd be surprised on how much germs actually stay on your hands after you wash them. (standard washing hands is 20 seconds in warm water, and that doesnt get everything it just loosens up some of the germs and they arent all removed.)

Sneezing into an elbow means you wont get rid of the germs at all untill you change your clothes, the main difference here is whether you touch things more often than you wash your hands, which I don't.

Well 20 seconds is standard procedure, so is warm water, if you wash your hands for 2 min every hour with near boiling water, that's good for you. I dont really believe it, cause I can see where there is prolly an exaggeration, but even if you do that, you still havent killed the germs or removed them. You would have to wash your hands in 140 degree water(again I think you were exaggerating before) or higher in order to kill them, and 2 min still wouldnt do it.

Well it takes me longer than 20 just to get the soap off, cos I gotta take my ring off during to clean that.

Also, I said every couple hours, as I always wash my hands when I go up or down stairs, it's kinda thing of mine, and yeah outside the house the water isn't too hot but my bathroom has two settings, which is cold or near boiling. I leave the tap on for longer than five mins and it actually starts to steam.
