@Johnnysshop hi i've got a question...in a previous clip u showed a grand am 2dr getting the kickers put in...mines is the same model but a 96 4 door and i'm seriosly considering getting all 4 replaced with those kicker speakers, but i wanted to know if i decided to go do it myself would i have to solder the speakers for the 4x6's and 6x9's or is there another method??
is it possible to do these kinds of things for soldering, even with a cheap $20 radioshack soldering iron? hhaha

@Bigroberto2008 You could cut the wires and crimp the connectors on. Soldering is just the best connection.

I'm sorry. I'm a newbie. How do you tin the tip??
WprEmiere1985 1 year ago
@WprEmiere1985 Adding some solder to the tip.

Good soldering video. Plenty good enough for most applications. On a difficult project you may have problems so here are a few additions:
1. Clean soldering iron tip before tinning
-wire brush is good
2. Clean connector surface before tinning
-brush off old flux
3. Clean wire before tinning
-wipe it clean with cloth
4. Clean solder before tinning
-wipe it clean with cloth
5. The physical connection should not depend on the solder. The wire should go through the hole and wrap around, then solder.
