Thanks for that tour....I was born and raised in SUFFERN...actually the first shot of this clip (86 Lafayette Ave) is where I lived for the first 14 years of my life...above the old Grecco Barber Shop and Hyman's and the shoe shop? I now have a alumni email site that I have over 350+ alumni on that I keep informed of things from the past and present. I also have a MEMORIAL PAGE of past alumni that I try to keep updated...
Lived in Suffern for about a year. Liked it alot. Couldn't stay there because my wife at the time was a chronic alcoholic always causing problems at our apartment complex and having the cops over every night. Got so bad I started hating every cop on the force in that town.
When I lived in Schenectady, we used to always pass Suffern via the Thruway,on our way to Maplewood, NJ and back in the 1960's & 70's. I thought Suffern was the neatest little town. Thanks for posting this.
