  • why, just WHY is that nasty "biggest pimple in the world video" in the suggestions box for Frank Sinatra!?! (disgusting. just ew)

  • good song but not his best... probably not top 10 either :)

  • I dare anybody listening to this not to snap your fingers as it plays

  • 240p.... we meet again!

  • who else here would spend they're life savings just to hang out with Frank for a day?

  • I got here from sabrina the teenage witch... Lol

  • Franky's got talent

  • Man he was cool, he was magic, and in a world that has seen a lot of great singers, few fall into the realm that this man does, simply.....timeless.

  • I thought this was a Radio Werewolf song trying to mock Sinatra.

  • I need that background on my wall at home

  • Check out my page :)

  • Even Though I Love this man-I use to work at an ITALIAN Restaurant at the age of 16..They would ALWAYS play Frank..And im going to tell you-It dont get MUCH BETTER THEN THIS!!!!

  • hmmmmm testoterone fuelled - amazing performance....

    superb song

  • Frank Sinatra truly had one of the best voices in music industry history, The man can sing anything and make it his own. It was so natural you would think this was how he spoke at all times. You can listen to him sing all day and.I believe that you don't have to be of that generation to acknowledge everything I just said. I'm a 28 year old black male. Michael Buble is the closest one I've heard to sound like Frank and I'm a big fan of Buble but there will only be one Frank Sinatra.

  • I'm hear because I heard it on bewitched and I remembered how much I like this song...and then I kinda wished times were still like this...romantic music people danced to. lol... sighhh :)

  • You can really hear Billie Holiday's phrasing in this recording . . . per Sinatra, Holiday was the biggest influence in his singing.

  • Reminds me of the singing sword in Roger Rabbit.

  • Why did my comment about how awesome Frank Sinatra's vibrato is get deleted... :(

  • I was about to get mad that Pendulum's song came before this, but then damn. Pendulum's song was amazing too. :) No hard feelings.

  • Thankfully I was raised by grandparents so I know all about good music such as Sinatra

  • cuase its witchcraft, wicked witchcraft!

  • 02. all the while singing a diminuendo (getting softer in volume) and he finishes the note with virtually no vibrato and he just fades the note out.

Also, I think you confused the word "riff" (a repeated, highly rhythmic phrase) with "rip."

There aren't so many strong examples of "rips" in this song; perhaps the strongest is where, at 2:10 he uses the word "Yes" as in "Yes indeed in me" but it's not really that good an example but I think it gives you the idea.

  • @SatchmoSings totally agreed

  • @RINGOFE While there are many fans of Frank Sinatra and justifiably so, it's also nice to meet someone who can actually comprehend the "nuts and bolts" of what made him so great.

Nice to have met you and keep enjoying "Old Blue Eye;" he he was truly great.

  • @SatchmoSings Nice we have a conversation that it is all about music and fanatism is not included in this. The individual preference is a priviledge and should be respected in any terms. I find any productive chat as a must to humans sense.

    Good for us "SatchmoSings"!

    Greetings from Greece

  • 01. When Sinatra sings, the first time, "It's such an ancient pitch" at about 1:17 to about 1:19, on the word "pitch" he's using a "drop."

Sinatra also makes a more natural use of vibrato; Judy Garland, for example, typically ends a phrase with a vibrato that gets broader and louder; she does this most of the time.

Sinatra, as he sometimes ends a phrase, has the much better taste and musicianship to make the vibrato go from broad to NARROW while he also speeds it up

  • 15 people had a curse put on them with witchcraft!!!

  • damn..over shot the pendulum video again

  • Fuck commercials.

  • love frank , love this song and I married one!!

  • love this!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks

  • Sinatra is a GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Never listened to Frank Sinatra in my life and it's far from resembling anything in my itunes but hell, I like his music. Newly recruited fan for life.

And I'm here via TipToeChick :)

  • VOICE OF AN ANGEL!

  • anybody who dislikes this is a commie

  • This, ladies and gentlemen, is REAL music. Forget you live in the modern world for a few minutes, relax, and let Sinatra remind you of better times.

  • Go to my channel to learn real withcraft. Good video, thanks people

  • i think of the old tv-show ''Bewitched''whenever i hear this song.

  • @georgelee43211 this is not the theme to BEWITCHED ,search it the songs name bewitched by frank sinatra.

  • @manufran02 Yes,I know this is not the theme to ''Bewitched'',I have the whole eight seasons of the series, but I like to relate this song to the show like in a montage.

  • THE ORCHESTRA... WOW

  • @Patricia72761 Nelson Riddle and his orchestra.

  • @dthomson014 Thank you so much!

  • @Patricia72761 And Frank too....WOW

  • this song reminds me of my prom

  • frank sinatra is one of the greatest artist of all times i hope my lyrics and vocals could one day be even close to equal

  • Cy Coleman was a genius..Carolyn Leigh wasn't bad, either. Great music!

  • : This poor diluted man. trapped!

    Adios Sin-yarrow / Vi-ya con Dios.

    and a great return!

  • "Old Blue Eyes" could put out a great song! He had a tremendous body of work. This is one of my particular favorites. They are all fabulous and I have many favorites! Thank you for this wonderful classic post.

  • Hocus Pocus ;)

  • It's Sinatra's world, we just live in it.

  • Well... I'm 14! I've been listening to this music since I was 9. I hate today's mainstream music and I feel all artist today should just die because they could never compare to any of this music.

Now, please excuse me while I go pretend that SOMEONE out there cares what age I am. And while I also pretend that I'm not just giving my age out to random people over the internet, some of which could be creepers.

Goodness. The Classics are TIMELESS people. That's why they're classics. Get a clue?

  • Why does every old song have people saying how young they are??? No one gives a shit. Sinatra is timeless

  • @PatBB333 hell yeah! He's a classic original Legend.

  • God I hate YouTube Comments.

Especially this one I'm making. Fuck this one too. Also, Sinatra has an amazing voice and the horns/trumpets sound great.

  • @newpa1n ain't that the sad truth - I couldn't agree more without hating my own comment anymore that already do... Sinatra is king

  • I got you all beat, I was just conceived last night and I love this song

  • First heard this on Hocus Pocus when I was about 7 being sung by the guy dressed as a skeleton. I'm 20 now and still love it. ^^

  • @strawberrycereza thats not the same song man

  • @elvisbjones Yes it is! I don't mean the one Bette Midler sings, I mean when the guy dressed as a skeleton is on stage, you hear him do the "there's no nicer witch than you" part, and you hear him in the background while Dani looks for her parents D:

  • 3 fingers of milk, ma

  • 15 people has beiber fever.

  • 1st thought, Tom Cruise

  • Yawn

  • I'm here cause salem saberhagen was singing it :)

  • Hocus Pocus :)

  • First heard this song in Who Framed Rager Robbit.

  • @Lightingbolt008 lol the singing sword, I loved that scene!

  • Chad Ochocinco brought me here

  • epic tune from a epic scene Eddie vs the Judge and the singing sword!

  • Frankie where are you when we need real singers around!!! You were the best!!!! When you passed everybody in Jersey was blasting your music in their cars!!!

  • @emhaz73 now if you ride in your car with your windows down listening to this people will look at you like you're retarded.

  • @chachie0628 no.... dude :D They will think... this guy has got a lot of style :D

  • @chachie0628 it would be very hard but i do love his music!

  • I was born yesterday and I love this song.

    Ladies, get in line.

  • No one should be able to sing this amazing.. Why don't we have people like Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin anymore? ):

  • CLASSIC AND NICE

  • LOVE his vibrato. Thumbs up if you know what that is and like it too

  • @pianopro9 he does have a good vibrator*trollface*

  • @pianopro9 Sinatra's use of vibrato is done where it is appropriate.

He also uses "rips" and "drops" where appropriate along with ending lines with diminuendos both in volume and knocking off of vibrato with fades; he does it in a largely logical and appropriate musical way

Sinatra's main "failings" are his relative inability to do really effervescent songs let alone thorough prepare them & while his use of rhythm and phrasing are very, very good they're no where nearly as good as Bing Crosby

  • @SatchmoSings tl; dr

  • Hands up all fifteen of you who wish to be beaten to death with a tuning fork.

  • Who framed Roger Rabbit?

  • love it

  • his voice comes from the very deep of soul, it's unforgettable, indescribable and nobody can deny what he've done . Thank you God, to give us Frank. Now he is in your hand, please take a good care of him.

  • Sinatra is the man!

  • Timeless music

  • The essence of cool to this very day.

  • "The Voice" some called him. (Some of us youngsters still do) This voice of his was well matched on this song by Anita Baker on Frank's "Duets" recording. I don't say that lightly either. The two of 'em "Did The Damn Thing."

  • who else first heard this song on the simpsons? ^_^

  • witchcraft it is of the devil

  • @13SuperKings Who cares? This song is talking about falling head over heels for a girl. He uses the term 'witchcraft' instead of 'I'm under a spell' because back then, men had an expansive vocabulary. They complemented women by saying that they were Lovely instead of Hot and made them feel like the world revolved around them instead of sitting on their ass, playing black ops all day. Enjoy the song for what it's worth and keep your little god-worshiping comments to yourself.

  • @CeeBleu Nicely said. Good song.....too good for me to even acknowledge ignorant people and comments :) Cheers!

  • @13SuperKings - Are you being serious; or are you just trying to stir things up?

'Cause if you are serious, you do realize you're talking semantics right? There are few things more ridiculous than you applying your definition of a "word", to a song which has absolutely nothing to do with your particular Religious beliefs. It's obvious this song has nothing to do with your "Devil"; and laughable to even attempt to make the association.

And what ever happened to, "Judge not, lest ye be judged"?

  • @branded72

I forgot I posted this comment on this video. I like Frank Sinatra, but like like God more.

  • @13SuperKings - Weak.. What a weak reply!

The only thing I can come up with is that you are trying to be ironic, or witty. You certainly cannot be sincere.

Whatever the case, you should answer for your original post.

  • "LOUD NOISES!!!!!" - Brick Tamland (Anchorman)

  • man I love Senatra! every decade it seems to have its great singers!

  • @KingOystar lol you didnt even spell it right ...

  • BEST AND KOOL SINGER EVER

  • My dad's favourite Sinatra song!

  • @Grandad35

Grazie for uploading this, it reeks of "Class and Chic"! My Mother and her husband, not my Father, dated bi-coastally for 19 years before they actually

married! They worked in the same company, she a senior VP and he C.O.O.! But they vowed to simultaneously retire and end up together!

  • @Grandad35 After a few years together in Manhattan in the late 1990s, they both returned to California, and he built her dream villa on the coast! They'll pipe Sinatra through out the house and he'll dance with her, as if she's his 19 year old bride!

  • Oh Frank Sinatra~ -swoon- <3
