Cat of a friend of mine did play with and eat the mouse in their kitchen (under the corner seat). When we looked after the cat went out there werent even bloodstains on the floor, nothing left, no hairs, no tail, not a single drop of blood.
We never figured out how the cat did that. And yes, it definitely ate the mouse.
my cat looks exactly like that. Except my cat doesn't kill the mouse, just takes it to the bathtub I don't use and plays with it because it can't get out of the tub.
Possibly, if the rat had been poisoned by bait that a neighbor put out. I only feed our cats captive raised prey. Kinder to the environment, and safer for the cat.
