  • One thing that sets Collective Soul apart from a lot of other bands is their musical production and instrumental collaboration. A lot of their songs have a ton of different elements to them that come together to create something awesome. This song is a good example, and it is probably even more recognizable on some other tracks, like "The World I Know," "Listen,"and "Blame." Everything seems to compliment the other, perfectly, and Ed uses his voice as the element that brings it all together.

  • Seen them at hard rock in vegas back in sept 11 2011 they sang this and rock it out !!!!!!

  • I had no idea Owen Wilson could sing!

  • I have seen Collective Soul 4 times, the last time was without original lead guitarist Ross Childress, without him, thought they should change their name to Collective So. The sound was nowhere near without Childress!

  • agree 100%on collective soul, foo fighters on the hand, well, can do without, not crazy about dave groll's writing and singing. can respect him for doing his thing though....

  • He's so beautiful with a beautiful voice.

  • This band is where it all began.

  • Does anyone else notice how good looking the lead singer is?! Cutie!

  • CS - BEST BAND EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what? C'mon People! only 239.387 viewer? JLo - Pitbull is 466million. i think good and beautiful music quality is dying here.

  • Thank god they aren't mainstream. In my personal experience, people in mainstream are morons who can't appreciate quality music. No way we're going to give them something that means so much to the rest of us. Collective Soul is too pure to be mainstream. EVER.

  • Collective Soul is absolute brilliance and love. There is so much talent an passion. Their songs are wonderful. There is a bit of something to get you through what strife is in your life. Ed Roland is a phenomenally gifted man.

  • I love, love, love Collective Soul. I love this song and I love this video. I think the only way it has ever been topped is when they did it with the Atlanta youth orchestra. I love Ed's voice. And man are they ever young here!!!

  • @Luisitu29

    a mi igual

    es hermoso pero muy triste

  • @denhhh ..y bue, a veces la tristeza hay que hay que acompañarla con algo, y que mejor que con buena musica.

  • ed roland is my first musician i know till now ! he's my inspiration in my band

  • Fantastic Song, Great Video! Collective Soul Rocks!

  • If you don't tell her how you feel now, you may not get the chance ever again. Then you can cry yourself to sleep.

  • Espectacular !!!

  • I've always loved this song. I've never watched the video before today. And it's a cool video. But I'm trying to think of what in the world it has to do with the song.

  • One of the most beautiful melodies I've ever heard.

  • so beautiful

  • Ed Roland is the best singer!!!!! Ed Roland es parecido a Christian Bale, se dieron cuenta???

  • don't understand the video but the special effects are fascinating...

  • How anyone could NOT like Collective Soul is beyond me. Right now, there are only 2 bands in my opinion where EVERYTHING they make is amazing. Foo Fighters is one band, and Collective Soul is the other.

  • @GJMSince1981

Agree100%- Collective Soul and Fu Fighters #1. Ever seen Collective Soul in concert? I saw them years ago- Precious Declaration album time in Cincinnati, OHIO- they were unbelievable. Their talent is amazing...

  • @GJMSince1981 Try Linkin Park.. or Skillet.. they are pretty cool as well!

  • @GJMSince1981 and its the anyone you speak of whom wonder why you think that those two bands are the only ones that are good in everything they make. you forgot micheal jackson, coldplay, nervana, MIKA, and many many more that would make this comment impossible

  • @guess6more

    1) I am not familiar with 'Nervana' or 'Micheal Jackson. They someone new, perchance? They sound remarkably similar to other artists I've heard of.

    2) MIKA doesn't belong in the same light as any of the other bands mentioned by me or you. He doesn't even belong on the same planet. Michael Jackson, Coldplay, Collective Soul, Nirvana and Foo Fighters will all go down as legendary artists. Mika is already a footnote.

    3) This comment is quite possible. It exists on Youtube, doesn't it?

  • @GJMSince1981 well you can suck my floppy cock, thanks for spending your lifes precisous time on me. Yes i made typos who gives a fuck its the internet, get your thumb outa your ass and listen to MIKA lolipop, that kinda sounds like your kinda song right der. faggot hahahahahahahahaha

  • @guess6more Ah, yes. The 'homophobic' comment. A common last resort for people who don't know how to formulate a reply or retort without resorting to personal attacks and, in your case, doesn't know how to spell the word 'precious'. Son, you need to take the hatred and immaturity to another video, because you - and this kind of reply - don't belong here. Notice how I didn't resort to calling you names. Take a hint. It will help you in your maturing process.

  • @GJMSince1981 Ah, yes. I don't give a shit.

  • @GJMSince1981 Radiohead. And Queen. And Pink Floyd. Hands down.

  • @GJMSince1981 You throw Goo Goo Dolls into that mix and I agree 100%...my three favorite bands of this time

  • sensacional l!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Collective Soul has shown a depth of talent that is rare. What a wonderful video!

  • Very good song.

  • fantastic :DD

  • nice song

  • It's so saddening when i hear an amazing group like this with a song that's just this special, it just breaks my heart that they are so underated and not in mainstream viewing.

  • @BAAMMzZ Mainstream is for those who sell there souls and how could Collective Soul do that?

  • @MattyIceDog78 By mainstream I meant that they are not a popular group, and of course they would never sell their soul, then they would just be Collective :P lola

  • agreed ed is amazing seen him live twice

  • this is easily one of their greatest and most underrated songs. they are underrated to begin with... and most of their songs are some of the greatest in the whole world ;)

  • Great band. :-)

  • I love Collective Soul. I'm so lucky.......their songs help me a lot especially 'Forgiveness' (help me to understand my self better and to forgive those idiots!). Thank you, CS! I'll always love this band!!!!!

  • This is CS's best song. Even better with Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra. I'm 48, from Michigan and love this band. Probably the most underrated band for the last ten years. There isn't a radio station here that will play this song. Dumb Asses. A lot of people are missing out on this great band. Please come back to Michigan soon Ed. Thanks.

  • Ed is incredible. I still delivers amazing live. Even got to meet him. super super chill. And @greatjediknight i LOVE Jason Wade of Lifehouse too. He is incredible. Even better live too. Good stuff. Does anyone find it amusing how shiny his hair is in this video? It looks like a freaking pantene commercial lol

  • @guitarsteve6190 i think he uses wen lol

  • @jimmygt4 haha is that shit legit?? I've almost bought it 100 times over. Infomercial is so tempting

  • WOW !!!!!!!!

That song and video are worth 10,000 WORDS !

  • One of the most 'Explosive' VC by collective soul ;) Love them since the 90's.

  • this is a timeless song-i 've never got tired of it yet...bought this cd when it was released...going off the first 3 kick ass albums they made...collective soul will always be played in our house!! they're GREAT in concert too!!!

  • always loved this song... its always described everything i know

  • That is one seriously pensive sip of the of coffee at .40 - in fact it should be shown in drama school to those students wishing to know how to successfully pull off the pensive look. Top stuff

  • Love Ed Roland, one of my all time favorite male singers.

  • Beautiful music and lyrics!! One of the best bands from the 90's and ever!

  • I have always loved collective soul....

  • La mejor canción suave de Collective y una de las mejores de todos los tiempos.

Best soft song from Collective soul and one of the best of all time.

  • Kudos to bands that write songs that A) mean something, and B) have string arrangements as organized as the Beatles did. The best indeed

  • I wish they showed more of dean! And Ed roland is awsome. Collective soul...Is genious!

  • THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE BEST VIDEO IVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME THE BEST BAND ON THE PLANET!!!!

  • @greentruckful i agree

  • Amazing song !

  • I love this song in the Home concert too, but the end of this song, when the chorus is flipped, I love it!

  • This song's guitar and percussion around 0:40-0:50 is kind of reminiscent of Smashing Pumpkins to me. Hadn't heard this particular track before but I'm really enjoying it. :-D

  • @mikiluvyu Really? What does F6 do to your computer?

  • doesnt any one think ed roland is one of the best singers alive?

  • @typickoopakid: Yes!! :-)

  • @typickoopakid yes!!!

  • @typickoopakid i agree his voice is one of the best. and also JR Richards of dishwalla and Jason Wade of Lifehouse.

  • @greatjediknight

I just had a mini heart attack that someone else knows who JR Richards is. And the two of them are indeed the best rock vocalists, no doubt. I don't know who you are, but you're awesome for that, I have to say! :) \m/

  • @Revidescent84 Nice to know another big JR Richards fan. I've been a big fan of Dishwalla since I accidentaly bought their album Opaline in 2003. I never even heard of their songs yet back then and don't know anything about the band. Thank God I did, because when I listen to the Opaline album, I was addicted to their songs, It's full of soul and heart. They are a million mile better than most of the crappy bands in the mainstream today. Hooray for Dishwalla (JR Richards) and Collective Soul.

  • @greatjediknight And that's my least fave album of theirs too! You absolutely HAVE to find Pet Your Friends and And You Think You Know What Life's About! That's the two before Opaline. Ever heard of a band called Caroline's Spine? They all seem to go together lol,

But yeah, best mistake you could have made. Weird the way that stuff happens.

  • @greatjediknight I love J.R. Richards. Amazing live vocalist, never heard him do poorly live. The guy can sing anything. Opaline's one of my favorite albums.

  • Comment removed

  • @BananaHurricane Yeah, JR Richards is one of the best, you can feel the emotions everytime he sings. Opaline is my favorite album too. The songs in the album are so awesome, my type of songs.

  • @typickoopakid Yes, I concur. And one of the great songwriters too

  • @typickoopakid there´s a lot of good singers... ed is one of´em....

  • This is my favorite video and song by the band. I think it's the coolest video! When stuff starts exploding it reminds me of the last Pirates movie where the ship is exploding all around the captain.

And Ed is smoking hot in this video as well :)
