Soraya was the most elegant princess in the world for all times her beauty was amazing and also she was a well dressed lady .but in this movie did not try to choose a more beautiful actress or suitable dress for her as a princess. also the dress of Iranian isnot suitable for that part of time.

Our real Empress was Farah Diba. Soraya didn´t even try to get known the Persians. She did not like the Iranians ans the Iranians did not like her in return.

It's showing women among people saying goodbye to princess soraya wearing islamic dress code, while in that time wearing in an islamic way was even illegal in Iran. No woman was wearing in an islamic way in Iran. It's a historically wrong thing with this movie.But totally a god movie

It's a good movie but there is something that is historically wrong with it and that is in that period of time women in Iran were not wearing islamic dress code (scarfs). in fact it was illegal and it didn't have any place among most of the people anymore. and those few who wanted it as a religeous matter, were not allowed to wear that way because it was illegal.

The movie "Soraya", directed by Lodovico Gasparini, was released in 2004, depicting the story of Soraya Esfandiary Bakhtiari. Former Miss Italy Anna Valle played the leading role of the Persian Princess who was forced to divorce from the Shah of Iran (played by German actor Erol Sander) after failing to give him an heir to the Peacock Throne. French actor Claude Brasseur plays the role of Prime Minister Mossadegh. The film was released in Italy on Rai Uno.

my grandmother has the movie! And books about her. I didn't even know the shah had any other wives before Farah until she gave me the books and showed me the movie!

the movie has in fact only a little to do with the historical facts and the reality. the actions and dialogs of the characters were presented partly exaggerated and partly created based on the phantasy of the script writer. The only appropriate cast was Erol Sander as the Shah.

I've recently read her memoires (I found it amongst a few other old books - it's from 1963. The Dutch title is: 'Nu zeg ik alles' which means 'Now, I tell everything'. )

And I have to say she was a remarkable woman with many talents: for writing, acting and improving her country.
