  • worked like a charm!

  • can you write the site for download free?

  • thanks man.

Step 1: Import the track that you want to remove the vocals from.

Step 2: Bounce the track as PCM and save it as SPLIT

Step 3: Keep the name for now and bounce it to your desktop

Step 4: Go out of Logic and rename SPLIT files to anything

    Step 5: Import both R&L tracks in to channel 2 & 3

Step 6: Click on functions and click Invert

Step 7: Change Channel 2 & 3 from stereo to mono and mute first track

    Step 8: RELAX.....

  • I think the math behind this is....U take a stereo mix with the vocals in the center, bounce each side to mono. If u play them together it will be in phase and things in the middle will be amplified. Invert the phase of one side to phase cancel the middle ( vocals ).

  • Logic makes its very hard to work with MONO files even split ones. U have to select "unlink stero files" or whatever, at the bottom of the edit menu in the Audio Bin while selecting the L and R files. If theres two O O that means its stereo linked, O is mono. Nice tutorial

  • It works ... perfectly...!! Thanks thanks thanks So much for sharing this!!!

    Really appreciated

  • WOO HOO YOU ARE A LEGEND!! I THOUGHT THERE MIGHT BE SOMETHING I CAN DO! VERY USEFUL...TBH IT DOESNT CUT THE VOCAL OUT PROPERLY BUT ENOUGH FOR ME TO SING OVER ETC...BUT I NEARLY BOUGHT SOME SOFTWARE WHICH DID THIS AND REALISED I SAVED MYSELF $39 ...THANKS! YOUR TRACK IS VERY NICE I LIKE IT...ADD ME ON FACE BOOK REBECCA SCALES ;0)

  • I agree with MrJohndam. Its a good try but vocals are still there. its sounds like the singer is underwater.

  • you are not removing the vocals only and you know this...

good technique but you loose the kick and a lot of sounds of the song and it sounds dirty and not good!! nice try!!

  • Hey whats up. Good video but one question....When I get to the step where you invert the R channel, it wont let me click on Invert...
