(composed by the Belge Lou Deprijck) was the original according to Wikipedia.

Well, I got my information striaght from the horse's mouth, so to speak. I was in touch with Alan Ward (a k a Elton Motello) himself via e-mail and he told me all about this.

"Jet Boy Jet Girl" was the original version and with all due respect, I do trust Mr Ward more than I do Wikipedia.

Das Teil war auf einem Sampler von meiner Schwester aus dem Jahr 1978,da war auch "Rasputin" von Boney M oder "Come back to me" von Uriah Heep drauf. Ich war 4 Jahre alt und habe die Platte und vor allem auch diesen Song geliebt! Schade das er in Deutschland praktisch nur als One Hit Wonder (Ca plane poir moi)läuft. Ich fand und finde diesen Titel viel besser!!

Dem kann ich nur zustimmen. Ich habe den erwähnten Sampler ebenso und finde den Song
