Take a look at like Stevie Ray Vaughan videos or Jimi Hendrix or Joe Bonamassa or just about any great guitarist. If you really want to see some wild faces check out Steve Vai. And it’s not just facial expressions, it can be body movements also just like an athlete concentrating on whatever he’s attempting. It is not something done on purpose for theatrics.

@BoRnUuNrOb Voodoo Child / Voodoo Chile Slight Return. The Original excited me so much that I just had to start playing the electric guitar. SRV does a jaw dropping version also. Its so much fun making a strat weep and scream to this song!
@BoRnUuNrOb What I hear is Voodoo Child (Slight Return). Kenny Wayne Shepherd does a cool rendition of Voodoo Chile then leads into Voodoo Child (Slight Return) which are two different songs. Sam breathes fresh air into his version and I have listened to it over and over(can't get enough), but I believe his sound is limited on what he can reproduce (playing through his BOSS ) if compared to that of Jimi Hendrix, SRV or KWS who use full stage equipment. Listen to the tone of Jimi's originals.
As always, fantastic playin, awesome tone but we all know you can shred like a demon so please you don't have to put it in every vid. Youve made this skill clear to everyone of which I'm so envious, but it would be great if you could do some accurate copies with a twist of your own but without the shred. Your a fantastic guitarist who I'm sure can put his own stamp on any song and make it your own. Please don't take this as a negative as I think your awesome, just less is more sometimes eh!!!!
i believe your picking tecknique may be relative to your pick. if youve got a sharp end then it will have too much attack on the string and so angling the pick acts as a 'de-sharpener'. fair play- helping your picking is probs primary though. UK-mon

@BoRnUuNrOb Voodoo Child / Voodoo Chile Slight Return. The Original excited me so much that I just had to start playing the electric guitar. SRV does a jaw dropping version also. Its so much fun making a strat weep and scream to this song!

@BoRnUuNrOb What I hear is Voodoo Child (Slight Return). Kenny Wayne Shepherd does a cool rendition of Voodoo Chile then leads into Voodoo Child (Slight Return) which are two different songs. Sam breathes fresh air into his version and I have listened to it over and over(can't get enough), but I believe his sound is limited on what he can reproduce (playing through his BOSS ) if compared to that of Jimi Hendrix, SRV or KWS who use full stage equipment. Listen to the tone of Jimi's originals.

As always, fantastic playin, awesome tone but we all know you can shred like a demon so please you don't have to put it in every vid. Youve made this skill clear to everyone of which I'm so envious, but it would be great if you could do some accurate copies with a twist of your own but without the shred. Your a fantastic guitarist who I'm sure can put his own stamp on any song and make it your own. Please don't take this as a negative as I think your awesome, just less is more sometimes eh!!!!

i believe your picking tecknique may be relative to your pick. if youve got a sharp end then it will have too much attack on the string and so angling the pick acts as a 'de-sharpener'. fair play- helping your picking is probs primary though. UK-mon

Great video! Actually one of the best of the last few months. For my taste your playing from 0:00 until 0:24 outshines the rest of the video. That feeling is more tasteful than your shredding (wich I find very good anyway). Awsome.
