hey guys I am a begginner and I have a bunch of questions I would like to ask about cubing. I made a video with some of these question, can you please watch the video and answer as many as you can. Questions where to buy cubes from, solving cubes etc.
Yes. X means you rotate the cube on the X axis of the cube, meaning if you had the white side on the front and blue on top, suddenly you would have green on top.
sorry but this scares me!!! "in 1908 a lady named sally rusa was in the woods looking for a dog until..." more "in 1908 a lady named sally rusa was in the woods looking for a dog until a ghost came and killed her so if ur reading this u will find a bloody body in your closet hanging there haunting you and will kill you and ur family and if u want to stop this just sends this to 6 videos in 30 mins or this will happen good luck
Ezekiel 46:2: And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.
Read the Bible. It is God's Word. There is salvation in only One: Christ (Acts 4:12). Wait on Him for salvation. He saves those whom He wishes to.
"Dw" means that you get the bottom two layers, and turn it clockwise, as if you were looking at the D side itself, except moving the middle and bottom layer at the same time
When there is an apostrophe after the side i.e. R' it means that you have to move that given side counter-clockwise. For R' it means turn the R side counter-clockwise
Some notation's use lower case letters to represent 2 slice turn, a lower case "b" would be the back 2 slices, "d" would be the down 2 slices There is a difference from "d" and "b"
what is "r2" and "l" they arnt capitalized and mean somthing else. im trying to figure out PLL (Permutation Last Layer) and there are "r2" "l" "y" and "x" i have no clue if you can help.
its really simple. an upper case R will mean to turn the right side 90degrees clockwise. a LOWERCASE r would mean to turn TWO LAYERS on the right clockwise. therefore r2 would mean to turn the right side PLUS the middle layer together 180 degrees. x is to rotate the entire cube up. y is to rotate the cube to the left. z is to rotate the cube on its side to the right
When there are two letters, it refers to an edge piece, which is one with two sides (not a corner or a center). For UL, it means the piece shared by the Up face and Left face. It's always with reference to how you are currently holding the cube, so given how I'm holding the cube at the start, with White as U and Green as F, the UL would be the White-Orange edge piece.
Similarly, three letters means a corner piece. DBR means the one shared by the Down, Back and Right faces, or Yellow-Blue-Red given how I am holding the cube at the start as before.
wow this helped ALOTTTTTTTT more than ur website, cant wait to finish vids n try it out for myself, once i find my rubiks cube... (well my dads but hey he lost it not me)
I'm not sure exactly what you mean. That cube was just a regular official cube with the factory stickers as available on the rubiks website or in many stores.
Nice job. I had no idea concerning the 'B' side. I am brand new and when attempting notation, I always held the cube facing me and turned the back side (yes it is awkward) and from your explanation, the 'B' moves are done facing you HENCE, CW and CCW are reversed. Interesting. I'll keep this in mind when doing some beginner solves and see if the author of the solve took that into consideration as well. Thanks again.
Nice videos man. I just want to know, on my Rubik's cube, the red and orange side are inversed compared to yours. I just want to know if this will make any difference in solving the cube or it will do nothing more then having the color inversed at the end. Thanks.
Yes, there are a lot of different color schemes on cubes. It won't make any difference, just simply the colors will be different in the end. In general when I talk about color names it's just to explain what I'm doing. The notation lets us describe what is happening without reference to specific colors (although I'll often state the color name just to easily refer to the piece -- but it's just an example).
To anyone viewing these videos for the first time, these are really good. I went from being clueless about the rubik's cube to solving it in under 2 minutes regularly just by using the info in these vids. 5/5 stars. No doubt about it.
I recently revived my interest the Rubik's cube, and this was of tremendous help. Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to produce these videos.
Ahhh you saw the chips. I'm still learning the game really, just playing the micro-limits. Mostly play 25 NL right now, and I'm hoping to move up to 50 NL within a month or so. I play a few SNGs here and there but it's kind of mechanical and there's too much all-in preflop for my tastes. I rarely play MTTs because they take too long. Do you play?
I play SNGs more than anything. I like the mechanical nature of them, but I plan on learning cash games. Stars now offers 5 card draw, which I plan on donking up.
Do you visit 2+2 publishing's website? It's a great place to learn strategy.
I think that the all-in preflop raises early in SNG's give you an advantage. Let them bust out early, preserve your chips, and attack once the blinds get to 50/100.
It's a great video but could you explain as if you're explaining to a younger audience instead of 20-30 yr old people. I still have'nt been able to understand step 1. I think i understand most of it but still need a little more clarification. if anybody could help me... please do so.
Woo. I took me a day. Then when I finished it, I told my Sister to mix it again, and I'll do it in 30 minutes. 2 hours passed by. I got amd and broke my rubix cube and havent bothered to put it together agian.
When you do get around to putting it back together, make sure you put the pieces back together so that the cube is solved, or you may never solve it again...
wat about b?????????

What does the lowercase "f" or "r" mean? I don't think it doesn't refer to the sides like "F" and "R"
thetriplet1234 1 year ago
@thetriplet1234 r means turning the right face as well as the middle layer. So you move the TWO rightmost layers.

briceniemond 7 months ago
@PhreshBenn Dw means the same as d. The bottom 2 D faces
RSCuber 7 months ago
Dw refers to turning the bottom 2 down faces.
w mean the outside and inside slice, basically 2 slices.

wait couldnt that just b a lower case d? or is it all the same thing?
soccer8great 2 years ago

sirry, i wasnt very clear when i wrote that. what i meant was, whats the difference between "d" and "Dw"?
soccer8great 2 years ago
Well "d" in some notations is the same as Dw in other notations. Dw is the down 2 slices.
