Sen.Obama seems so very thoughtful. I don't pretend to understand the "bad Economy". I think Sen. Obama's Ideals seem reasonable. Maybe we all can come out of this ahead, I hope. With a real stimulus package. That makes a big difference in the lives middle class Americans Like you and me. I hope Barack wins the Election!
Is it just me or does anyone else see that Mccain and Pres. Bush want to use Sen. Obama for his ideas. Mccain has stolen every idea Sen. Obama has came up with. he has stolen his platform, his signs and his lines. Sen. Obama please do not let them use your ideas. Even Pres. Bush was asking for Obama, because he sure do not know what to do. Tne only thing that Mccain hasn't stolen is the slogan "Yes I Can" because he know he can't.
This bail out is getting the most press now above all!
We really need to proceed with caution. It is too much$ and the avg American/tax payers are in an uproar..about their current financial status, cost of gas, mismanagement of government spending. Many folks feel that we shouldn't help one industry over the others that have fallen or are about to collapse. It looks like it is representative of bigger govt.
We need to take the $ out of the Iraq qwar & divert it domestically.
In yesterdays meeting at the White House, Barack was actively envolved, as reported, he peppered questions to the Sec of Treasury and the President... John (I don't understand economics) McLame sat quietly on his hands! My God John, this is your chance to really put your Country first. Why are you silent!
We have a very GRAVE SITUATION happening before our very eyes.
This is like THE 3:00 AM PHONE CALL AD, but real.
It seems one candidate gets it and has gone back to Washington.
I tell the other Candidate: Dude, this is NO TIME FOR BUMPER STICKER RHETORIC. If you do not understand the urgency and severity of this crisis YOU SHOULDNT BE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.
I totally agree with you! Obama is getting his hands dirty, working hard to sort out the situation, while McCain is sitting back, listening to others (like Obama) talk, and doing nothing!
McCain is definitely not ready to lead; this proves it!
What about Indian Alloted lands Trust Accounts which needs to be accounted reconciled to the heirs? and Those which have embezzled be held accountable?
Why should we bailout the US Corporation?
Can you honesty say it has been a help to the people who has been defrauded by acts of genocide? Now that we are no longer deceived by who is who.
I am please to see that we have a candidate that's on the same level with us that knows what the issues are and acually has a plan on how to help resolve it, the other guy (Mcbush) cares about playing politcal game, by doing or saying anything just to get elected... Obama/Obiden 08
Obama is ready to lead. He's calm and organized. What was McCain doing? He was "halting" his campaign in panic mode. McCain canceled his appearances on Letterman to head to DC -- but he didn't arrive nor had he even read the economic plan by the time Obama had arrived.
I totally back senator Obama, but right now is the time to make a very clear point on this economic issue that would show the kind of leadership over the McCain stunt of suspending his campaign.
If McCain is holding his cards and making a bluff, raise him and call it.
He shows why he will be President In January.Mccain Is using the crisis to get out of debating, and to protect Palin.Using this crisis Is wrong.Obama trying to help get a deal. And If House Republicans don't like the bailout then It must be better for Americans than I thought.
Obama means business, mccain is not fit for president, prime example, his VP. No experience, No massive management.. Hey MCCAIN hire me I can get the finances right. I'm a black man that may help you win. Republicans in this case REPUBLICANTS are rediculas in this. They should give it up..
They perform every trick in the book like some rich spoiled ass rich kids.. If Mccain wins, I swear I'm moving to canada for the next 8 years.
Very thoughtful, visionary leaders like these are not always easy to come by.
If American's elect the Republicans again, after the terrible 8 years of the current Republican's leadership, they deserves whatsoever they will get.
I do not see how a clear thinking American who put her country and the issues that affects it and the image of the country abroad first will not vote for this guy.
Obama, go out there keep giving them leaderships like these and seat back.
Very good point that presidential candidates should not use delicate negotiations about a current crisis for posturing (or to hide behind, I might add). I would have thought that straight talker McCain would agree, but I guess his straight talk express ran into the republican spin hospital a while ago.
I am a subscriber for both the McCain and Obama websites and you tube sites. There is NO full video like this on McCain's website. Why is that?
That is because he has no clue what to do or what to say. Vote for Obama and we can move past this administration and its policy of no accountability in GOV and economy. This is ridiculous.
Obama continue advocating 4another econ stimulus 4Americans so theyb happy nholiday season!Be more passionate like Clinton point his finger, "I did not have sexual relations w/that woman!" like that!Americans want 2see he feels thr pain!He cannot come across as wanting corporate bailout 4rich¬ doing anything 4burdened Americans!Avg.American don't understand intricacies of economy ties 2 WallStreet-all they hear is rich being bailed out&they left n cold, don't want McC stealing ur thunder!
Throw out the bail out. stop inflation now, no more printing no borrowing. deflate the money, increase its worth, and let people save, saving banks is not a solution. people shouldn't need banks or loans. double the worth of the dollar, and that fast food place the dollar menu is now $.50, and that $4 gas is now $2. the easy fix is what we all talk about, but the problem will come up again. unless we do the hard things now it just gets worse because inflation doesn't work. Give me the job Barack
this is the man for our country right now. they were ready to close the deal on wall street till mccain showed up and screwed with the process. now noone wants to agree on anything from the republicans side of the fence. that is why i left that party and became a independent. they would rather a stock market crash than to bail out people who own more than half the country. imagine half the country overnight becoming homeless and being out on the street. remember the airlines bailout after 9/11?
This is what we need to understand.. JOBLESSNESS is the reason for the economic crisis, not bad loans.
We have a nation of people who are unemployed and unable to make loan payments or buy products. Families can't afford mortgages if mom/dad get laid off. Graduates can't pay back school loans. If people don't have jobs, they can't buy things that drive the economy.
Republican Reaganomics has failed. Keynesian economics, govt intervention is key! We need strong regulation of all industries.
Obama is speaking to the American people, McCain is at home in his pajamas with slippers on in bed sleep, with warm milk and cookies on his bedside table...
Palin is watching Russia and Putin from her house, Is this what's going on in America...
With all the craziness surrounding the economy its somewhat calming to listen to Obama in this time of crisis. He has acknowledged a lot of the positions which must hold if there is a bailout, to protect the American people and our economy. I only wish he could be president today...this is the leadership we need in this scary time!
I don't understand politics really well, but can someone explain to me what happened with the bailout bill today?
It seemed to me that the republicans and democrats were about to reach an agreement on the bill, until McCain decided to go to Washington? Why are the republicans backing down now? The bill at first was 3 pages long and they wanted to pass it, but now they won't pass the bill without new provisions that came out of nowhere?
I love Obama! God willing, people will vote with their heart & soul & see the truth! McCain is acting crazy! Do the repubs think we are all so stupid? We all know the repubs are responsible for this entire disaster our country is in!
This whole thing is because of free trade. Millions of people lost jobs then their homes. Then banks stocks fall.
