What really worries me is the fact that he has a gun. He is obviously unstable, deluded and suffering from some severe mental and emotional issues. What if he starts to think there are aliens landing outside of town and they are going to eat him and his kids? What if he thinks the only way to save them from these aliens is to kill them? I'm not one to blame everything on parenting and upbringing, but obviously that shitbag never learned the value of a dollar and never developed a work ethic. That comes from watching parents work and budget. That comes from mowing yards when you're 8 and getting a real job when you can drive.
Give him his due, when he lost them the first time he must have made some effort to get them back.
