Flower Travellin' Band are pretty great. I'm glad to see that you found that. It's bad that you can't get into 70's psych or prog, there's just way too much good music from many countries of the world that fit into those labels.
thanks for introducing me to The U.M.C.'s, I can't believe this went under my radar. it's far greater and more consistent than most other albums that get all the glory, like A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing and Straight Out the Jungle
Dr. Octagon is one of the albums that got me into hip hop. If I had a chance to see Kool Keith, I wouldn't even hesitate, backing tracks or not. That's why I'm not you I guess.
hey guy, you should check out this band called Seahaven. they're pretty damn good if you ask me. a little young and rough around the edges, but showing promise. They're on tour with Touché Amoré and Pianos Become the Teeth right now, so yeah just sharing with you since you share suggestions with us, why not suggest to you.
Pornography by The Cure changed my life, quite literally...I had a friend who got mad that I was calling myself "goth" but was only listening to Manson and all that. He gave me this album and The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths. That album chilled me to the bone because I found myself very comfortable in the ominous vibe...I know give that album to people and say "listen to this and you will know who I am"...lol I know right!
Between you and I, I like that Refused record better than The Shape Of Punk to Come. Both are amazing though! Great list, always some stuff to check out
Austin thanks for these vids. You should check out this great ska/punk band called Joystick, they're very fun too and sing about getting drunk and have a good horn section. They are really good, dude. By the way, I have to listen to BTMI still, and have to listen to that album by Refused, I've only heard TSTCTP, which is a classic in its own right.
Really liked the cure suggestion austin.

That BTMI album is actually called To LEAVE or Die in Long Island. Might want to change that in the description.

Sometimes your genre descriptions are so specific I wonder if you made them up. :P

Half shark alligator half mannnnn! Half man half shark!
I love Dr. Octogon and Kool Keith in general.
One of the best Hip-Hop releases of all time IMO. I smoked a lot of green leaf back in the day listening to this LP.
