Yes, I've mailed lumpy envelopes that are quite thick and only had to pay that extra 20 cents. As long as it's not too heavy it's fine. Lovely cards, by the way. I'm usually not partial to yellow, but that white border was so sweet. I may have seen these thank you cards at Big Lots and passed them by. I think I'll go take another look. Thanks for sharing! ~Dera
I too have a big lot challenge. I bought tons of the msl stuff last summer. Thanks for encouraging using the stash. I also have a video that demos a template from the US Postal Sevice to see if your card meets the regular postage requirements -- $4 for postage are you mailing internationally?
Wow, I have sent non machinable and according to the postal service website if it exceeds 1/4 inch and or is lumpy it is "subjet to Letters that meet one or more of the nonmachinable characteristics in DMM 101.1.2 are subject to the $0.20 non machinable surcharge." They also weigh it. If it doesnt meet the standard then it becomes a parcel I think. I did learn the hard lesson that those clear envelopes are not going anywhere without extra money even if they are no thick or heavy.
Oh my gosh that (< 25 cents) isn't too bad!,I used the usps website and let it estimate my shipping costs - and it said $4. I didn't know clear regular envelopes where an issue. Good to know. The joys of the postal service :)

Thank you! Yeah I'm not partial to yellow either, it was the swap requirement. But it was good to make me do something new. And now I do like it :)
