I know this video is old but just wondering ..if you could tell me what control module batteries motor ect you use so I could try the same setup on my bike would be greatly appreciated thank you
@jbreeze401 for the motor i used the unite 1200watt 48volt and i have two different controllers but as seen is the yk-42 100amp 48volt controller which is real fast but will sputter within a few minutes so i also have a milder lb-37 50amp 48volt controller for longer smoother runs and just 4 12volt 12amp batteries.. theres not much to it just make a good motor mount bracket if its a ex gas bike...
@MrKoolAidMan68 just look online i think they refer to them as big or super pocket bike and if you get the one with the 49cc two stroke it will only go about 30, the one with the 110 4-stroke goes about 50
@jandhaysk8 every motor will wear out on its own so over volting will make it sooner... motors are about $40 but if it wears out by one with more watts so it will be even more faster
@silentlysniped i zip tied the sensor on the front for, (now is on the rear swing arm) and super glued the magnet to the valve stem cap, now is super glued to the rim edge close to the tire.. just remember the magnet needs to be around a1/4 inch away as it passes the sensor and set your speedo computer to the right tire size, i inputed 0798 because the tire factor of a 22" bike wheel is 1596 so i did half that (0798) because my pocket bike wheel is 11"
@silentlysniped i bought the tornado m2 pocket bikes used for about $150 each and removed the gas engine and installed the 48volt stuff from tnc scooters at about $250 more.. you can find these bikes used on craiglist or other places, i like them because they have front and rear suspension, all stainless steel frame/suspension and fiberglass body work
Lol. Judging by how you converted a gas pocket bike to electric pocket bike and how you invented that +5 thing on the xp700, I'm guessing you know your stuff with pocket bikes, eh? Maybe I'll be half as good with instructions.... lol.
people ask me alot where to get, i got mine used, you just have to look, they are called tornado m2 49cc they were on ebay new around 2002 during the pocket bike craze
the conv. is easy, little brackets holding the motor fliping the rear wheel (chain is on left on gas) and hooking up some electrics. what is tough is finding a complete bike ive looked for years and have three in mint. i use all, anyways the motor, speed cont. batts.etc cost around 350 tops and the bikes around 100 to 200
How do you charge or what do you charge with?
jbreeze401 7 months ago
