It could prob go faster if u replaced the a arms with rpm ones instead of metal. besides if it breaks anything u want it to break at the arm rather than the bulkhead cause its alot easier to replace the a arm.

I know this is 5 months old but I just want to say. that is a 1.9 gear ratio. so keeping that in mind. that means the spur spins half speed of the motor. so if the spur is the rpm of the wheels then the wheels spin half speed of motor. so if motor can handle that much stress it is very possible to go SUPER FAST!!!

those large tire can mess with the accuracy of radar guns. I saw a revo indicate 61 mph stock in around 20 feet of track. I used the same radar gun as in this vid. The top of the tire is being measured instead of the body. try a small GPS instead.

Saw it, although it is a bit questioning, he does a speed run, and then it randomely cuts the scene, and goes to the speed gun. Dont want to start anything, but usually, you do a speed run, and the camera man walks over to the speeg gun, so you get the speed that everone sees. All though by no doubt that looks fast. Cant be a vxl rustler. As a vxl rustler has a velineon system, and the max you can take that is 75mph. He has some oth Brushless system in there. That thing was fast though!

Traxxas claim 70 mph+ for top speed of a Rustler VXL. I have one (5,000 ma-Hr Li-Po) and I haven't even TRIED the high speed gear. It's so insane with the "low speed" gear on it. But I'm an old fart LOL.

I love the front wing, I have a stainless bumper for mine but it's very heavy. I might drill some holes in it to lighten it, cover it with a membrane to cover the holes (so it can work like a wing) and slant it to give me some down force on the front.

Guys..before you say stuff..try searching around, add weight does NOT reduce weight. It DOES add the time which it accelerates to the desired speed. Have a 3lb rustler or a 5 pound rustler, both will EVENTUALLY reach the same speed, givin enough of a run away.
