I disagree. The chick from Avalon was totally trying to copy MC's voice. I like Mariah's version better because it is more soulful and I really like the children's choir in her version.

It was fun. It was the 1st time I recorded at HitFactory. The engineer made me do the ending "S's" in Jesus by myself. LoL I was in the "Anytime You Need a Friend" video too. Tommy Matola told me to stop rubbing my eyes & I started crying so Mariah went to get icecream for me because it was hot that day. She came in and hugged me afterwards. She's really is nice.

When I heard this album in my childhood, this was my favorite song. I remember I tried to sing it (way out of tune, and well into the night) over and over again, along with Mariah because it is so beautiful.

Walter affanasief did not help write the song, he always helped with the melodies as he is a prolific muscian. Lyrics are all Mariah's. I remember in the past they were very specific about that in her albums: Lyrics:Mariah carey Music: Mariah and whoever helped her.
