To my mind both of these pre date "disco" they were played on the northern scene, i remember both of these being played at Wigan, they just became too popular and commercial off the scene, which was their down fall. Still great records in their own right tho`!!!
A good groove shouldn't be defined by its era...whether it came from the '60s, '70s or even the '80s, just as long as it keeps your arse moving and your feet shuffling it's good enough!!!

Yet more footage of the "Wigan sheep pen". Continually slagging off 70s recordings - until they're (eventually) played at Station Rd. and the same records metamorphose into "Northern Soul classics" - and they can't even dance to them properly! What a tiresome drag they are.
Well hello mate.......that was my 'local'.....even though we drove up from Cornwall to everywhere from '73 onwards........hardly ever gets mentioned but was a top gaff and a good floor....only prob was the disco crowd leaving pissed before we got started. Ktf mate.

Supership - Charlie Brown's in Tottenham 1975 - happy days. We liked a good tune in London as well as the Northern Soul folk!
