the long end is plastic???the shorter fat end is metal making the fork weigh alot more at the fat end evening it out and balancing it just like thos birds u can get that balance on your finger kinda the same concept im reckoning could even be two different metals the longer end made of say alluminum and heavier shorter end say gold if their willing to foot  the bill haha.
