Jack Lemon was the best..., my favorite movie star of all times. From the Great Race, to the Days of Wine and Roses..., from MAD BALL to Glengarry Glen Ross. Sleepers like It Happened to Jane with Doris Day, or the films he made with Judy Holiday, Jack was the perfect leading man for anyone. Remake this film..., why waste your time in yet another fools errand to recreate something no one today has the talent or courage to produce. Like the lame remake of Bad News Bears, no guts, no glory.
Do a remake with Brad Pitt, Angie Jolie, Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaungh (playing Lemmon, Schneider, Provine and Connor parts). I know, it'll never happen.
@hankaaron1961 That would be a legit remake!!! I always thought they should remake Some Like It Hot (1959) with Robert Downey Jr. and Edward Norton playing Curtis and Lemmon's parts. What do you think?
Romy's butt looks big in the tight-fitting dress, especially when she bends over in the fridge to get some food. I wouldn't wear it because I feel insecure about my curves. What should I wear to them? I'm still getting use to my adult shape as a woman.
"Steak cha-cha-cha." A great sequence. Note the 1964 kitchen Dorothy Provine is in making a giant casserole dish with plenty of mozzarella cheese for Jack Lemmon upon his return home.
Wife- "I heard music."
Jack- "Out of complete boredom she put on some records."
I will post a clip of the beginning credits sequence featuring the very catchy and recurring main theme; but it only lists "music by DeVol". The end credits only list the actors.
Of course, the score composer for this movie was Frank De Vol.

I remember loving this movie on t.v. in the sixties! I always thought Jack Lemmon was so funny... he was so handsome but didn't rely on that.

Jackie could really dance. decades later he did some more funky moves in a scene from Grumpy Old Men.

Not sure if anyone mentioned the name of this movie, which was never released on DVD or even BlueRay: "Good Neighbor Sam" (1965?)

A favorite of my childhood and still my favorite film. Suprised and warmed to see it on youtube.
A real shame that Frank DeVol's soundtrack to the film has never been released. Likewise, that the film has never been re-released on dvd.

Pretty difficult to say without a soundtrack listing, the whole soundtrack was composed by Frank DeVol, so I guess it's an original.
