Mind telling me where on Earth you found these facts out, or at least whereabouts they are mentioned in the game? I feel like I've missed so much story despite listening to every word of dialogue...
@redapple2312 All i know is that Travis was the Killer7's very first target, also I got all this information by playing the game multiple times and using information later in the game to piece it together in the beginning, i am currently on my 5th playthrough of the game, I reading alot of information on characters, and also if you look up on Google "Hand in Killer7" (there are multiple links i don't think it matter which) it has a plot synopsis, more in depth character information and gives
@jwdexedire Wow, incredible...fifth playthrough? You must have finished Killer8, right? I started that with the new Bloodbath difficulty but you need to be hard-fucking-core, because even the start of Angel is a pain in the ass. One hit deaths, invisible criticals -_- I'd like to know the plot more, and I guess playing it through several times is necessary, I think I'll give it a go
@redapple2312 more insight into the the story as a whole, it is pretty long but can really help you out on understanding the story, and again playing it multiple times and really paying attention to Travis's dialogue and other people that you talk to really helps.
@jwdexedire I had a long look at that Hand in Killer7, it's certainly in depth. Of course, nothing is for certain, but it seems from that page that Harman became disabled because Dan Smith, apparently, shot him repeatedly. Like I said though, nothing's for certain...
@redapple2312 yeah its a very good to find out more information on Killer7, and i dont remember reading about Dan shooting Harman, I knew that Dan hated Harman but i never hought he would shoot him, But hey I just might not remember that part.
@jwdexedire I read in the manual too that Dan wanted to kill Harman, but yeah, it appears he shot him up a long time ago. *sigh* The only problem is I'll never ever understand the whole deal with the Japanese and American parties and their secret meetings and whatever...politics is not my strong point, even if it is fictional.
@redapple2312 Yeah politics isn't my strong point either, though the first time i played i laughed at the mahjong scene because i thought they shot each other over the game.
@jwdexedire Yes, me too! xD And the Russian Roulette scene, so masterfully done! It saddens me to think that a game not many people knew had such excellent writing and directing...
Out of interest, which console do you play it on, because the loads on PS2 are RIDICULOUS...
@redapple2312 Yeah one of the best scenes in the game, and i play it on the gamecube awesome load times and better graphics, I always try to go with the original console if i can.
@jwdexedire Grrr I hate the NGC's perfect load times...just think of all the time I wasted changing characters alone. :P I also didn't realise it had better graphics, is that really true? :/ This may also seem like a really random question but have you played Viewtiful Joe? I heard it's another underrated Capcom cult classic for the Gamecube.
@redapple2312 Haha yeah, and i just heard that the ps2 version had some graphical glitches and a little less color. Also yes i own Viewtiful Joe, another amazing game swept under the radar by the more popular titles, and it has Dante from Devil May Cry with an Australian accent :D I think it is available for ps2 also
@jwdexedire Dante from Devil May Cry with an Australian accent?! I'm sold! I think it's time for a trip to eBay - I remember playing it years ago, but that was before my cult-fiction appreciation. I guess VJ would be right up my street, then. :D
@redapple2312 Yeah it's a really good game and since it has been out for awhile it should be relatively cheap now. Come to think of it i really need to play that game again.
@jwdexedire guau, you know a lot about this fantastic game, could you explain me who killed kun lan and harman at the chess game? why? they were friends and rivals? or simply both of them were just using emir/garcian habilities to their personal bussines?? this game is so complicate.. thanks
@naldo1629 Haha, yeah i kinda do and it is a fantastic game. Well the person who killed Kun and Harmen during their chess game was the younger Harmen who you find out if you played the Killer8 game mode uses a Thompson submachine gun, and i thought of that scene as Garcian's subconscious trying to protect him from the truth of who he really is as he is figuring out what is happening throughout the story. but that is completely my interpretation of it. They are both friends and rivals, they were
@jwdexedire originally friends but i guess Kun Lan kinda became evil n' stuff and decided to use his powers for world domination and manipulation. Also i have come to think of their chess games as their never ending battle for absolute victory. And in a way yes they were both just using Emir/Garcian as means to progress that overall goal, but like most good and evil stories their struggle is bound to an endless cycle of war and power with no end in sight.
@jwdexedire thanks, almost the whole story line is merely interpretation, i started to play killer 8 but a few months ago i stop palying. i`ve read that they (kun and harman) are the good and evil representation in the eternal fight for the victory. ok. now could you tell me who is the ghost man that appears in some escenes hanging on the wall? the same that some men trhow from a bulding top. i speak spanish and is a little complicate to understand some pieces of the dialogues!!!
@naldo1629 Yeah, well the only person who i can think of in the game who is thrown of a building is Hiro Masai one of the japanese political party leaders who is killed my Kenjiro Matsuoka, and the only ghost man hanging on a wall is kikazaru one of Iwazaru's friends who helps you find soul shells, sorry those probably aren't a whole lot of help if you could be a little more specific i might be able to give a better answer.
and is the reason they became friends. I think i got most of Garcian/Emir's background. Again feel free to correct me if im wrong or missed out on anything.
@redapple2312 after Emir kills him during his school rampage he puts his body in a safe and thats what breaks his back. You find this out through the clues given by the FBI agents cassette tape hints and after you get the 2 passcodes for the safe. And for Samantha she is supposed said to be old Harmen's care taker, but in the last carrier pigeon message she has the last name of Smith which could imply that she was eventually killed and absorbed as a personae im not completely sure about that.
@jwdexedire Hmm it's just really strange how Samantha has split personalities. And in her first appearance, she disappears like the Killer7 do around screens, so she probably is a special persona. But why is she such a bitch?! And on a slightly different note, what is the deal with Ulmeyda? I don't understand anything from the cutscene just before you fight him...the fast car, the ambulances, the military guy... :/
@redapple2312 yeah the whole samantha thing is really confusing, i think it has something to do with harman being awake or asleep, like we he is awake she is his servant and everything but when she is asleep she changes back into being a college student, maybe Garcian created her. With Ulmeyda he created a company called first life which had loads of money but actually wasnt a real corporation and it only ran commercials, he also ran a cult and had everybody in the town injected with the simile
@redapple2312 virus, and blew up that stadium in the beginning of his stage, which most likely marked him as some kind of terrorist. @jwdexedire Okay, that is very well explained actually...then there's one last question about the story I have for you: what is the deal with Iwazuru, Kun Lan and basically the whole of 'Lion', including the guy you may/may not kill?
You must be quite the fan of this game, I only played and completed it recently. Which persona(s) did you use the most often? For me it was a mixture of Con and Kevin
@redapple2312 Well at in Lion Garcian has fully embraced the concept of actually being Emir and since the killer7 was tasked by the government to eliminate the terrorist group heaven smile that is what he is doing at the end. Now with the last smile I am not sure if it is just a smile that looks like kun lan in iwazaru's suit or if iwazaru really was the last smile, i just left that up to anyone's personal interpretation. With guy that you could choose to kill that was Kenjiro Matsuoka who was
@jwdexedire Oh, well I thought it was pretty clear Iwazuru WAS Kun-Lan, giving you tips the whole time (for what reason, I cannot think) but since Kun was immortal, I thought that the mission Lion was just a 'joke' fabricated by him, to show that the Smiles still existed and that eradicating them is impossible. That was my interpretation, however I'm sure I'm wrong. I only started using Kevin later because his invisibility was useful and he is a fantastic silent protagonist. However I also liked
@jwdexedire Con's 'Fuck You!!' and Coyotes 'You're...fucked!!' not to mention Dan's bitter 'This is too easy.' The characters are so well balanced and unique, and yes, it is a fantastic underrated game. What else is in your top 3 then? They must be good to contest Killer7...
@redapple2312 Haha yes they are very good catchphrases, and yes it is a terribly underrated game i think the thing that turns people off from the game is either the controls or the weird storyline. my other top games would probably have to be The Witcher series because of its very unique combat and story and the half-life series, cause you cant just play one half-life and be done with it.
@jwdexedire I'm a Metal Gear Solid fan, weird storyline just turns me on...and the controls were fine after a while. I guess it requires patience, and a lust for intense thought. Yes, I need to get round to finishing Half Life 2 eventually, because I have the orange box but Half Life 2 (the first one) is so damn long!! I'm at the return to City 17 but perhaps I should give it another go. Really good FPS though.
@jwdexedire Oh shit, I just thought of something else Killer7 fucks my mind about...the kid with the bright eyes who speaks to you around the Vinculum Gate. Who is he? I always thought, and I feel like a right idiot, that he was Emir Parkreiner, but obviously that's not the case. Care to shed some light on that? :/
@redapple2312 Oh yeah im a Metal Gear Solid fan too, and the kid that talks to you at the Vinculum Gate is Kess Bloodysunday he was a serial killer who built explosives as a way to get attention because he didn't get alot of love from his parents, but anyway the head of his father's company hires the Killer7 to kill him because his killing got kind of out of control.
@redapple2312 the leader of the main political party of Japan that was negotiating the terms of whether or not Japan would be destroyed by the missiles that were launched. The only thing I don't understand about this game is Harman said Emir murdered the Killer 7 when he was 13, but when it show the flash backs to the Murders he's clearly a grown man. What the Hell?
one question: Is Garcian included in the Killer 7? Or the killer 7 are just dan, kaede, con, kevin, coyote, mask and harman? I dont understand the role who plays Garcian in the game :S
@damianvip I know this might be late but... Basically Garcian is the primary member of them. He organises the assignments and then once he gets to the scene he allows the other personalties to take control of the hit. He is the only one that talks to Harman and Harman tells him what to expect from it. I think that's how it goes
in an interview grasshopper said that the storyline was open-ended so you could figure it out yourself. so if you think you've mastered the storyline, you might be totally wrong, who knows :D
Hold on a second, Young Harman here says that the Killer7 (At the time of their death, Emir/Garcian was not part of them yet) were killed, but the leader, Harman (obviously), was not counted in the 7. Theres only six others in Killer7 (If you exclude Garcian). Whos the 7th?
hey i was wondering if you knew the name of the song being played during this video, it would be on the original soundtrack. thanks for posting all the killer 7 vids!

So yeah, it's Johnny Gagnon.

I dont understand the role who plays Garcian in the game :S
damianvip 3 years ago
I've always thought that Harman is the seventh Smith, and Garcian is the one that ties Dan, KAEDE, Con, Kevin, Coyote and MASK.

BrentosTheFreshmaker 4 years ago
They weren't called the Killer 7 at that time , they were called The Smiths or The smith Alliance
