@O0otenniso0O Around 2005 the max range xp/hr possible was around 30-40k. It is now possible to get over 200-300k xp/h in range. Most skills are now like this. Sounds a lot easier to me.

Runescape isn't easy without money. Not everybody got enough time sinked into the game to have money. If you feel the game is too easy, I suggest a fresh level 3 without any money or items given from others or from your main. Suddently the game becomes tedious again, like it used to be when you started.
@3dMatth Go watch runeshark and bornforpvm's series from peasants to revenants. In 3 hours on lvl 3's they got over a mill between them. A low level with no stats can make bills in weeks by flip merching 50k to start. After your first 1.1b you can make a max stack every week if you know what you're doing..
@3dMatth 1.) People can hate looters all they want, a mil an hour at level three is hard to argue with. You don't play to make other people have more fun.
2.) I didn't say you can merch mills from 50k, i said bills. A max stack from 50k in a couple of weeks with the right items.
3.) You'll make more money in 1 day merching with 14m than you will with 3 straight days nexing. Also, while you merch you should train your bank skills like fletching herblore and crafting.

It's the updates they just keep making skills easier and I quit Runescape about 2 year ago but I'm considering rs2006dotnet since it will relive the moments of old RS when skills used to be hard and you actually felt good when you level.
I quit because of all the noob-friendly updates and bots. I'm surprised Jagex had the balls to get rid of bots when so many of them were members, but I'm still not going back (#leagueoflegends).

Yes i agree runescape is getting eventually easier, i did most of my wcing 99 on yews since ivy didn't exist(look at the number of wcing 99's since ivy), i admit i used the living rock caverns for mining and fishing but it's been around for a while now so i decided to use it, however i do agree that jagex have made this game twice as easy it used to be, if not more, no wonder why nearly EVERYONE has 99 now....
If you ever get hacked and you have a bank pin, They cannot withdraw your gold so the only thing they could do is take/drop the stuff in your inv/equipment slots.
Just found your channel so I'm a month late, but I'll still give some input. I think the game is becoming easier, but as a valid attempt to revive this game. With the huge bot problem slowly creeping back, a lot of players ask why it's worth it to actually spend the time to get a 99 when a bot can do it for them. If the skill is fast and easy to train then people will be more likely to do it themselves.

Runescape abides roughly by Moore's law, every 18 months things will become considerably easier not every skill or every boss but things will get easier.

runescape is just becoming more casual friendly, like for people who don't have enough time to devote it all to training skills and such, this is a very good thing since it'll be attracting more players.

@Nemmyzz The subscription prices for Runescape are going to rise, which is probably because of the 'bot nuke'. They lost so many members in that nuke that they aren't making as much money as they used to. Making the game a little friendlier would be a good thing since more people would play, if it was too hard, people would rage quit for good. Although I must admit the community in Runescape is in a horrible condition... Not everyone is rich, and that forces people to scam and lure..
RS is too easy and it can only go downwards. they cannot make a new update (like an armour or weapon) that does not overpower the old one while still being intresting. Damage soaking, HP boosting? don´t you think they made that because people were hitting too high? and trying to balance the combat triangle they totally overpowered the mage, especially now with the new Ganodermic(?) armor, that you can magetank with. It won´t be long until everything is uber-OP.
@ZaapFTW penance horn + varrock armour 4 + juju mining potion + gold mining suit + urns while alching/dropping/superheating, with a d pick, not that hard
@cherikitty they wont make combat skills to 120, because they wont know how it would affect the game, I herad that the next 120 skill will be slayer, well have to wait and see if its true.
Runescape has never been greater in my opinion, bots made things too easy, everything was waaay to inexpensive, I like that everything is rising. also, the coin pouch is good because for all those people who have too much cash dont have to worry about dieing in the wild. also the tool belt is a GREAT innovation because it saves sooo MANY inventory spaces as well as that your able to do everything RIGHT on the spot. Of course some bosses have become easier, BUT I love it. Please sub to me =]
just a couple of tips, if you were to use summer pies while training agility to boost your level up while then you would be much less likely to fail on the course, also if you haven't already consider purchasing the jack of trades aura to get daily runecrafting xp
as for ganodermic. i dont think the effort of players is be-littled because because those who solo'd the corp back when statius warhammer and pvp gear was almsot required, got the privelage of having spirit shields first, or selling them at a nice price. new players who solo corp now, are left with the handicap of spirit shields crashing in price.
the entire game is 1 giant GRIND. im glad jagex is finally fixing it a bit. i mean honestly would you still like to cook and firemake the way it was done on classic

It may be easier now, but if you were a high level earlier the potential to earn money before was far better because there were less other players like you to compete with.

I don't think it belittles achievement. I personally got 99 fishing at monkfish when that was the norm. Nobody really fished sharks due to it being so slow, and since PvM not being as profitable as it is now, you needed, realistically, to make money from training your skills. Now, however, you'd be mad to fish monkfish to 99 since not only because it is snail-speed slow compared to barb, but also PvM is a lot more profitable with Godwars and what not. It doesn't take away the fact that I had to
@DoomedMages train fishing for x amount of months. I don't care about whether other people know how long it took me, because I know, and that's all that matters. People that get levels for recognition from others, or whoever really even cares about it should probably grow up.

2) with 50k to start flipping you can hit a mill after a few weeks. By that time I have a few 80s stats. Why would I want to trade fun for flipping?
3) Time is money. To get your 1.1b you need quite a few weeks into the game, in pure game time. If you start today, you don't got that.
My point still stands. Even with my lousy 14mill I won't spend weeks merchanting it.

Yes i agree runescape is getting eventually easier, i did most of my wcing 99 on yews since ivy didn't exist(look at the number of wcing 99's since ivy), i admit i used the living rock caverns for mining and fishing but it's been around for a while now so i decided to use it, however i do agree that jagex have made this game twice as easy it used to be, if not more, no wonder why nearly EVERYONE has 99 now....

Just found your channel so I'm a month late, but I'll still give some input. I think the game is becoming easier, but as a valid attempt to revive this game. With the huge bot problem slowly creeping back, a lot of players ask why it's worth it to actually spend the time to get a 99 when a bot can do it for them. If the skill is fast and easy to train then people will be more likely to do it themselves.

@Blue8624 Zezima is one person, named Peter I believe irl. He lives in the East coast, and you have no proof that 3 people shared his account. Of course since Zezima is maxed Jagex gave him mod status, as most maxed players do get mod, like Zarfot did as well. Both are legends in Runescape.

@Nemmyzz The subscription prices for Runescape are going to rise, which is probably because of the 'bot nuke'. They lost so many members in that nuke that they aren't making as much money as they used to. Making the game a little friendlier would be a good thing since more people would play, if it was too hard, people would rage quit for good. Although I must admit the community in Runescape is in a horrible condition... Not everyone is rich, and that forces people to scam and lure..

RS is too easy and it can only go downwards. they cannot make a new update (like an armour or weapon) that does not overpower the old one while still being intresting. Damage soaking, HP boosting? don´t you think they made that because people were hitting too high? and trying to balance the combat triangle they totally overpowered the mage, especially now with the new Ganodermic(?) armor, that you can magetank with. It won´t be long until everything is uber-OP.

Runescape has never been greater in my opinion, bots made things too easy, everything was waaay to inexpensive, I like that everything is rising. also, the coin pouch is good because for all those people who have too much cash dont have to worry about dieing in the wild. also the tool belt is a GREAT innovation because it saves sooo MANY inventory spaces as well as that your able to do everything RIGHT on the spot. Of course some bosses have become easier, BUT I love it. Please sub to me =]

as for ganodermic. i dont think the effort of players is be-littled because because those who solo'd the corp back when statius warhammer and pvp gear was almsot required, got the privelage of having spirit shields first, or selling them at a nice price. new players who solo corp now, are left with the handicap of spirit shields crashing in price.

I don't think it belittles achievement. I personally got 99 fishing at monkfish when that was the norm. Nobody really fished sharks due to it being so slow, and since PvM not being as profitable as it is now, you needed, realistically, to make money from training your skills. Now, however, you'd be mad to fish monkfish to 99 since not only because it is snail-speed slow compared to barb, but also PvM is a lot more profitable with Godwars and what not. It doesn't take away the fact that I had to
