I'm glad that the asshole who murdered him is in jail and hopefully for the rest of his life. It's scary to think that there are others who think morbidly like Roeder or even applaud his actions. Disgusting. I hope he rots.
This poignant, simple, and effective video reminded me of the Billy Joel song "Only The Good Die Young." What a loss to his family and to all women and men who value reproductive choice.
It's a sad reflection on the state of the world that the people who dedicate their lives to helping others and to the betterment of their communities are demonized and murdered in cold blood by fanatic opposition.
Yes. Whereas, if Dr. Tiller was a rich, ruthless head of a major corporation, or maybe a televangelist - well, then this country would have loved and honored him. That makes sense. It's deeply sad.
It also strikes me sad that being a woman's health advocate and doctor is so unusual that we see fit to label him hero. We should have so many just like him - in every city across America - that it's just considered normal.
Our hero, whose dedication to women in disasterous places in thier lives, makes this world a better place.

A true gentleman and champion of women's rights.
America lost its status as a civilised society the day this man was murdered.
Trust women to make the choices that are right for them.

Too true, Julie. Dr. Tiller was sadly not an exception, just the latest.

Sad but so true. It's almost hard to believe it could come to this.
