  • I seen him in January and was amazing. I got to meet him after the show, he is extremely nice. Im going to see him again this Thursday. Buddy is my hero and probably my favorite guitar player.

  • wow nice tune

  • Saw Buddy a few weeks ago in Winnipeg for the first time and I have to say although it was quite expensive for me takin time or work and all, I would do it again in a heartbeat. He and his band were exceptional.

  • saw him in Saskatoon - he was amazing. A cool 72 who looks like he's 50 and plays like he's 25! One of a kind.

  • I saw him in Saskatoon too! I hope he comes back next year for the jazz festival

  • New hampshire...I forget the name of the town

  • how old is buddy?

  • born July 30, 1936

  • Im going to see him in july i cant wait!

  • im goin to see him too. where r u seein him?

  • Not only is Buddy one the greatest blues guitarists of all time but also one of, if not, THE greatest blues singers of all time!

  • my daddy prefers bb king and ill give him his props, but nobody gets me goin like buddy. he leaves it all on the stage everytime. cant nobody sing the blues like buddy.

  • sing it brother sing it. i cant win if i aint got nothin to loose

  • Guy sloppy? U mistake feeling, emotion, intensity for other things was Magic Sam sloppy or Billy Gibbons sloppy? Don;t think so .

  • Buddy rocks!

  • so good to see that he still is rocking the blues when he's over 70.

  • not nearly as good as his most recent release

  • I haven't heard his most recent release.....are they rawer than the Sweet Tea tracks?

  • his recent release of this song is more mature. deeper, more depth. breathtaking,, makes you just want to close your eyes and just move to the music. it's much more advanced in it's musical draw than this. same song. wish it was on utube.

  • Hey thanks a lot for the short review! I might have to go talk to Itunes bout it all!

    Thanks!

  • which just proves that good things get better with time! Buddy is the man..

  • Guy Clapton Winter Hedrix and Albert King own the blues league for me...

  • how about stevie ray vaughan? =]

  • i love buddy guy ...he is GOOD....but b.b king its just a good singer, dont think he is good at the guitar

  • bb king is very good at guitar. >_> hes amazing. he never misses a note. Buddy guy is a bit more sloppy. but there both great. love them both.

  • trhats right give those racist white people, that blues baby, yeeeeaah

  • taaannn chevere carajo!!!!

  • paige isn't really a blues player, that's like throwing Vai in there somewhere. he's good but he doesn't fit.

i was never a fan of b.b. king actually. i think he just kind of rips himself off every time he plays and is pretty unoriginal.

  • yeah i agree about king and paige ..

it's about guy & winters in my (humble ) opinion ...lol....

  • Alot of Jimmy Page's work is blues. >_>.... alot of songs in Led Zeppelin are blues. >_>... he just has his own style of blues. its still blues. and how his bb king unoriginal? he pretty much invented electric guitar blues as we know it. >_> same with tbone walker. -_- *Sighs* please dont make stupd comments.

  • lol when a string broke on his 'original guitar' at glastonbury this year, thats the same guitar he switched 2. Legend!

  • buddy guy>jimi hendrix>stevie ray vaughan

in that order. seriously my opinion (or fact!)

  • definitely not a fact because that doesn't say in what.

assuming that you mean musicianship, it cannot be compared. each have their own style.

  • A FACT!

  • no.

  • jimmy page belongs in the OVER RATED pile jimmy page thats funny

  • Well B.B. and Page both loved Stevie. While we are on the subject of Blues players how about Albert King?

  • or luther allison

  • Thats the short version of the order.

  • bLUESSSSSSSSS

  • I have that guitar ^^ buddy is the best blues guitar player and showman!!

  • Stevie Ray Vaughn > Buddy Guy > Eric Clapton

    That jus my opinion

  • Guitarwise yes.. indeed. But Buddy is a better showman. Too bad SRV is not among us doing some blues records.

  • I got to see him last night, the most amazing guitar player EVER. He walked out into the crowd, sat in a seat, and just jammed while talking to the guy next to him hahahahahahaha

    buddy guy is my hero

  • Can hardly wait to see this blues' great in Mo. on Sunday night! YEahhhhhhh! Saw BB King live in Memphis and now Buddy on Sunday. LIFE IS GOOD!

  • He is the REAL thing. Saw him two times and always amazing

  • He smokes - can only hope I can see him sometime.

  • right on buddy

  • buddy is real real high on something, something

  • This man is the total package.

  • <3 damn right!!

  • he is a maniac! doing his "One Hand" technique here :-

    )

  • Buddie is sick, the wicked mr Guy, yeaaaaaaaaa

  • in the bathroom uh?...thats swweet. how original can ya get uh?....i juss saw him at gathering of the vibes 07' in bridgeport CT....he came into the crowd and walked around for a wicked solo in sweet home chicago...thats balls man...it was a rowdy crowd too...keep rockin buddy guy!

  • When i saw Buddy Guy the first time at Hampton Beach in NH, he walked off the stage, went into the women's bathroom and played from there for almost 5 minutes. The best show i have ever seen. Instead of walking off stage at the end he went out the back door, down a long set of stairs, and got into a van that drove away, all while still playing.

  • They don't make em' like that anymore, the baddest...

  • The man's presence demands the most attention of any performer I've seen. Call it showmanship or charisma, I wouldn't have really known it had I not seen it in person. So much fun.

  • That is it, man! Presence. When you get in the same room with Buddy Guy, you know what all the fuss is about! He is alive! Damn right Buddy has got 'em. I've got 'em. And srv8813, you got 'em too! GRRRRRRRR!

  • hey! i was at bluesfest too man. I was the only one who yelled "son of a gun" the first time in hoochie coochie man. haha. then he did it again and made everyone say it. yeah man, buddy was sick as hell tonight.

  • OH MY GOD!!!! I can not wait!!!! Im seeing this guy tonight at the blusefest in syracuse!!!!!

  • I WAS AT THAT SHIT he fucking went outside during a solo and sat in a pizza guy's car and fucking WAIIILEDDDD with a wireless transmitter and he want behind the coach house and came back in the back that shit was epic.

  • He went out into the audience during the Green Music Festival in Greenfield, MA last night (walked over to the Pizza stand... think he has a thing for pizza?) Amazing!

  • If there was no Buddy Guy, there would be no Blues!

  • Yes there would, but there would have not been any jimi hendrix or stevie ray.

  • if there was no buddy guy, there would be no hendrix

  • if there was no otis rush there would be no hendrix either

  • Awesome! I saw Buddy Guy last night at the Playboy Jazz Festival...He was absolutley incredible. Truly one of the last great bluesman alive.

  • I have the same guitar !! :D

  • Saw him last year at North Sea Jazz, but I had to leave after the sixth number to go and see Herbie Hancock, oh spoiled me.

  • I saw him at Chicago blues festival in '05,bloody amazing!!!!

  • ...and he had it long before a lot of people did...Buddy's been copied more than most think ;)

  • Buddy is a living legend

  • damn good song! some day i will get the blues with this

  • damn, he's still got it :)
