Lol!! Murray is an absolute legend XD And on top of that, I miss Williams from the old days. Over the past few years the team has slowly slipped to the back of the grid :(
F1 isn't the same without Murray, especially as both his replacements have been, less than satisfactory, but Martin Brundle is a legend, I met him earlier this year and he seemed geniunley pleased when I told him that often his gridwalks are the best parts of the weekend, if we were to lose him from the BBC team it will be a sad day
@kathrynashworth1 Completely agree mate, Martin is THE best thing thats happened to BBC commentary since Walker, if brundle leaves ill stop watching an english f1 commentary, The detail and knowledge you learn from him just from watching is briliant, I met him at Cataluyna a few years ago, fantastic guy.
@whoelses I havent heard much about the commentaries for next season, ive been looking predominantely for news on hamilton, Coulthard is going to do commentary with brundle? Thatll be great because brundle is great anyway, and david does brilliant pole lap commentaries as does brundle. Man i cant wait for the season to begin, im sick of football on tv, and nothing to watch on a sunday
Is it just me or does anyone else think that when you listen to this old commentary martin and murray got the best out of each other? Because when you listen to Legard he's so boring and it sounds like it passing over to brundle in other words legard is bringing the worst out of brundle i wish the bbc would swap crofty and legard around!
@2781smithy agreed Legard is slowly killing Brundle's enthusiasm for F1, which is a shame because he is one of the best pundits not only of F1, but in sport generally.
@2781smithy Haha yes I agree too. Brundle had the track experience, and knowledge, and he was also friendly with some of the drivers and teams. Murray had the experience of being a commentator, and hilarious sentences he came out with - and an exciting style. There was also a good behind the scenes once, which showed how they worked together to make sure they don't cut over each other.
I don't know what's funnier: Martin's comment from out from left field, or Murray trying (& ultimately succeeding) to keep his composure without going into a laughing fit.
These days you'd get some fucking idiot from the PC brigade writing in to complain about sexism or some such bullshit!

@x420Raptor1 I agree. Which is why I can't wait to see how well Martin does as lead commentator with David by his side.
