@masterblaksheap What you refer to as Kungfu(skill gained through hard work and time), should be called Wushu(Martia Art). Taiji is a type of Wushu, just as Shaolin, Bagua, Xingyi, Hung Gar, Wing Chun etc.. Taiji's origins are actually from some Shoalin styles(ie. Tai Zu Quan) and Taoist hilosophies etc.
