Granted they themselves didn't quite understand the meaning of their words, but it makes them no less true. It seems all great heroes have some flaw that makes them hypocrites. But regardless, the ideal of individualism & freedom, along with truth/honesty are the most important for a society to work, and without none can be considered moral.

This is the best of all films. It is a master piece of art. It is a perfect movie but for one detail: It was Lawrence who spoke arabic with the others and not the others speaking in broken english. Hearing all them arabs speak english gives a sense of fakeness.

I have seen this film 6 times, all on the silver screen.
The latter two screenings were in 2008 and 2010, and it is interesting to see how this film is more relevant now than when it was released.

Lawrence never did anything 'wrong' compared to most ambassadors/explorers and military people he accomplished alot more in a more peaceful way than half the world's leaders. He did his best to free Arabia and unite them but the sad fact was they weren't ready or willing to work together
