  • I don't need the original music score done samba-style. Or Ferrante and Teischer style, for that matter!

  • But now we have "Warhorse"

  • bla bla bla everything old is good everything new is bad bla bla bla

  • Great movie.

Unlike most people I'm not going to write that all movies today are bad though. Because I'm not blinded by rose tinted goggles.

  • @ryantheking12 Definitely agree with you. This movie, given my age, is at the top of my list because of the job it did in storytelling based on the writings of T.E. Lawrence in "Revolt in the Desert."

Each era and generation reflects its times and the stories it tells and some are brilliant cinema, others - not so much.

  • i keep singing born free in my head

  • Love this clip...

  • @ farmerne

i agree w/ the point but there's no harry potter 8, it was scream 5, and there's no kung fu panda 3

  • VAMO LOS REDONDOS

  • Thank you ceyel6. Lawerence of Arabia is still my FAVOURITE Movie..........Sorry if i offended you.

  • This film is said to have the highest picture quality resolution of any film ever made, shot onto 70mm film the images are stunning, far better than the cheap computer generated rubbish of today.

  • ceyel6 gotANGRY,.....Why are you so Angry ?That is my Opinion., I was 8 Years old I didn't know about FAGGOT., I Know NOW......So What Gives? Merci Derien. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

  • @CARBELK99 .... iwasnt angry bro i was just saying

  • t intelligent.,,,,,,You must be a VERY SICK,SICK. P.O.S. English is NOT my first or second ord Thierd LANGUAGE............Merci , Gracie, Muito Obrigado. Muchas Gracias.

  • @CARBELK99 t you play video games ? much i can tell because you put a "t" before you typed!

  • @ceyel6

how does that mean he plays video games?,not trolling just asking(Must say it, people are so sensitive)

  • @mo389 i wasnt trolling... i play video games too and i puta 't' before i type on regular internet so i was just stating the fact

  • @ceyel6

no, i was asking how did you know he plays VG's cos he writes "t" before his sentence. I only now just realized you were referring to PC games where you press 'T' to chat, haha.

  • Sir Lawrence. Was my HERO .,I was 8 years old.

  • *FUCK THIS BASTARD ENGLISH SPY AND HIS GAY MISSION*

  • Taking nothing away from the majestic beauty of the main theme here, it seems remarkably similar to the song, 'Born Free'.

I suppose this came first though?

  • w o n d e r f u l

  • This movie is a romantic view of what that fag and the British did to the towel heads and the towel heads have had a chip on their shoulders since the Crusades.

  • Lawrence was a faggot, the son of a washer woman and a Lord who never recognized him as his son so the faggot had "issues". Like all faggots he played it both ways, he was a double spy. Americans can learn a lot from this movie as to how the towel heads fight even to this day, you don't mess w/the shariffs. Everytone knows the Americans are getting their asses kicked by those primitives, better leave now w/honor, avoid another Korea and Viet Nam.

  • lawrence fucked an arab boy called dahoum. lawrence of arabia is a child abuser faggot. when he left his boytoy dahoum he was only 17. which civilized person stand the thought that a 17 yeared old boy had been sex toy of an 28 yeared old british physco.when lawrence had made naked statue of dahoum child was only 16. poor dahoum victim of an british faggot and the disgusting way how british glorifies that.it becomes more disgusting that lawrence acclaimed he had been raped by Turks.

  • It makes me sick to see the Arab Terrorists Bomb the Ottoman Railways & slaughter thousands of White Turks!

Remember the Turks were the allies of the Germans & must be respected!

  • when my turkish friend asked me what my favorite movie was, i had to refrain myself from saying "Lawrence of Arabia"......

  • What a ghastly travesty of a wonderful film score. Take these men out into the desert and leave them there. Ghastly!

Watch the film and enjoy the proper soundtrack.

Read SEVEN PILLARS OF WISDOM, one of the crowning achievements of its time.

  • I watched this movie with my father. He hated it. I do not always trust his opinion. That is why I am rewatching it, for better understanding and no parental bias. -High Schooler who wants more intellectual movies for her peers like LOA and To Kill A Mockingbird.

  • "All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. This I did." T. E. Lawrence

  • Balfour Declaration

  • Can you even IMAGINE a movie like this being made today? There once was a time when movies were made that had real characters, intelligent dialogue, a plot that you actually had to pay attention to. Where scenes were longer than 5 seconds. Other movies of 1962: "To Kill a Mockingbird", "The Manchurian Candidate", "The Miracle Worker". People stood in line to see these films. Look what was showing Summer 2011: Harry Potter # 8, Scream #4, Kung Fu Panda 3, The Hangover 2, Iron Man 2.....

  • @farmerne everethyng started from movies like jaws and star wars

  • @farmerne There are some widely seen well made movies out there. For example, "Inception" and others.

  • @simplydiffer I'm not thinking you ever saw Lawrence of Arabia if you are putting Inception in the same class. "Nothing is written"

  • @farmerne excelent point my good sir!!!

but it was kung fu panda 2 XD hahahaha sry ddnt mean to troll

  • @farmerne There are too many sequels nowadays, when do we ever come across new ideas in film.

  • @farmerne Well, you should watch independent movies, and especiallt foreign ones. There are some great American movies nowadays (Black Sawn, Tree of Life, The Writer...) but you really should pay attention to what other people do, especially the Asians, the French, the Italians and the Germans, who have all a long tradition of film-making.

  • @farmerne I think that the French movie "House of pleasure" has just came out in the States this week. You really should see it, it's awsome, one of the best movies of the year.

  • @farmerne Oh please. There were plenty of rubbish movies back then as well, but they've been forgotten. Likewise, the rubbish movies of today will fade away, and the great ones (yes, there are still some great movies being made today) will be remembered as classics.

  • Comment removed

  • @farmerne I'm not denying that tastes have declined (even though I'm a fan of Harry Potter), because if they hadn't movies like Twilight and Transformers would never have become popular. I'm just saying that to say that NO great movies are being made today is ignorant. You just have to look a little harder these days to find them.

  • @farmerne

I believe that it was Kung Fu Panda 2

And the Harry Potter series, including Deathly hallows part 2, have all the characteristics you listed. I dont need to IMAGINE, I just have to look search around for a good movie instead of reminiscing and complaining,

  • @farmerne It's funny how in the future there'll be someone who will say the same about the movies of today. Humans always walk the same path....the old generation criticize the new generation...until the new generation will become the old one and will criticize the newest ones. Personally...i love the old good movies as i love the good new ones. Respecting the past doesn't mean hating the present or the future..... men fools.

  • @farmerne

I totally agree, e.g. Transformers 3: no plot, no story, no characters. just a 2 hours boring fighting scene in a city...

  • @farmerne, actually the politics of today could never allow for the film to show Arabs as actual human beings fighting our modern allies the Turks. I am more concerned about the politics getting in the way than the quality of the film as a whole if it was done.

  • @farmerne actually, it's a book. 7 pillars of wisdom.

    but yeah

  • - "Never seen a man killed by a sword before."

    - "Why dont you take a picture?"

    - "Wish I had."

    XD That part was hilarious!!!!

  • he was with the arabs and england betrayed him so bad that he changed his name and refused all aproaches to return to the public eye, it was men who he trained that sided with arabs against Israel and were ran out of the british army.

  • Im a turk and I no hate lawrence or england. But I hate fcking arabss.

Lawrence only did the work. But fucking arabs=ungrateful and money in the dog.

  • lawrence of saudi arabia

  • One more Gay English

  • @pppaaaooo13 When was the last time the Greeks conquered the world?

  • One of the last great movie epics of the day. Movies like this, Ten Commandments, and Ben-Hur are masterpieces!

  • I enjoyed your posting of my favorite Maurice Jarre work. Thanks for sharing. JT

  • Lawrence was deceived by his government, he didn't know it was the most twisted nasty fucked up conspiracy ever been made by humans, then he died, accident ofcourse.

  • @A966999A Well what does that mean?...your statements are they true?

  • Comment removed

  • timeless masterpiece ever made !

  • @JusticeVSpropaganda Yeah who are you to get off saying that Americans have no morals. I (among the rest of us) are hard working people who are proud Americans made of morals. I've seen LOA and that M-E people want peace certainley wasn't the "message", and anyways, how is that relavent to today. I think the last thing most M-E people want today is peace.

  • @moneybags1972 MOST? You should realize that there's a difference 'tween MOST M-E people YOU see on ABCNNBCBS (.001% of the population) and MOST M-E people. Most of the 99.999% you DON'T see who are going about their days and lives, not burning ANYONE'S flag and chanting in the streets, DO want peace because like you, me, and anyone else with a pulse who reads this, they are HUMAN BEINGS! Of the few who don't want peace, many don't realize that what they've been TOLD they want is... NOT.

  • More briefly, you suffer from availability bias, from watching reporting that only shows footage likely to scare you into acting whatever way that whoever pays people who film and broadcast the stories would like you to, from voting, to spending habits, etc. If you hear something that implies that people you KNOW are humans are NOT human, it's a fair bet your being lied to. If you ask a calculator what 2+2 is and tells you 5, it's a fair bet it's wrong, even if it IS a calculator. Toss it.

  • The melody is very nice. However- we have to learn something from the story itself, because what Lawrence of Arabia had in mind quite failed. What we call in western society national states and our values are far different from what is considered as such in the oriental Arab society. In our times, which are not less dramatic than Lawrence's days, we should keep in mind his ambition that failed.

  • @JusticeVSpropaganda

never sent a man to the moon ,huh

  • @JusticeVSpropaganda It's the pot calling the kettle black. What the founding fathers of the US wanted has long since been forgotten. They were visionaries. Granted they themselves didn't quite understand the meaning of their words, but it makes them no less true. It seems all great heroes have some flaw that makes them hypocrites. But regardless, the ideal of individualism & freedom, along with truth/honesty are the most important for a society to work, and without none can be considered moral.

  • @RealMusicKing

Read the video movie review here in the NYT - Monday, June 6, 2011. The movie is much more complex and interesting than your description

  • AWESOME MELODY

  • Lawrence of israel

    made israel after Balfour Declaration

  • Truly, for some men nothing is written unless THEY write it.

  • rumors says that he was assinated and was obersved by the higher people that they dont want peace in the middle-east and he was the key for that peace. the high elites of today dont want peace ofc and anthing that stands against them will be cut down like a tree just like other heroes of the decades

  • VAAAAMOOOS LOS REDOOONDDOOOOO!!!

  • VAAAAMOOOS LO REDOOONDDOOOOO!!!

  • that face is freaky, at the very end

  • Myy LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This movie was so goddamn racist. Hurr Durr the arabs need a white guy to come and lead them to victory cause the white man has such a big brilliant brain compared to everyone else. No wonder all the terrorists want to blow up the pale skins so badly.

  • @iamloganhearmeroar Your stupidity is surprising even for Youtube.

  • @iamloganhearmeroar You must be very stupid and very blind indeed. Even today arabs need others to put their life in a right prospective. Who fucked Saddam? Who is fucking Ghaddafi..etc. Arabs today are as tribal in thinking as in the last 200 years. By the way, Just recently old Omar Sharif said : " We arabs are tribal in thinking and we are not fit for democracy. "

Lwarnce is not a myth. Go and read his papers.

  • @soranB55 Omar Sharif was all hollywood bro, any trace of arab left him long ago...plus the arab people aren't tribal, what is are their governments that suppress technological, intellectual, financial, etc growth relative to the people thus forcing the people into a hidebound viewpoint of the world...your example of saddam and ghaddafi prove my point, NOT YOURS

  • @soranB55 Islam have made them the most powerful men ever. When they left it, we know what they've became. Once they return to islam, they'll be no limit.

Always Remember Saladin, the greatest, TARIQ IBN ZYAD who conquers SPAIN AND PORTUGAL, arabs were the cradle of new science. Sadly they've lost what made their strength, which is islam.

  • @kakashisan3 Rubbish !! Rubbish with all respect

  • @soranB55 why u keep sayin ur name ?

  • @kakashisan3

Saladin was a kurd, and Tariq ibn Ziyad belonged to the berber tribesmen! Stop abusing their names!

  • @GeneralGrievous18 lol.

He was arabic. And Tareq was indeed berber. But i'm talkin about islam, and in fact they were muslim airhead.

  • @kakashisan3

It is a fact that Saladin was kurdish. Go laugh at yourself for believing stupid arab propaganda.

  • @iamloganhearmeroar lmfao!!! rightious man.

  • @iamloganhearmeroar lmfao!!!

  • Larry was gay

  • LOVE !!!

  • Listen LA BESTIA POP...Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota - Argentina

  • Vamoooo Los Redooooondosss.

  • This movie was sick!

I never thought that Alec Guiness would play an Arab.

I also relized what a great actor Alec was and Peter O'toole's character had so much depth.

  • sweet

  • When I hear this theme, I immediately think of some Bedoiun trekking across a desert with his camel, his silhoutte formed against the sunset backdrop.

  • @LemonBombProductions Oh how we so shamefully accept a movie's money making scandle so distorts our perception of reality. Most of his jurnies were not on sand doons in the desert. Try slate, mountains and in the snow. Shamefull !!!! us stupid self pleasuring idiots!.

    Wallace

  • @wallyozzy

It's a movie about a specific region in which he was traveling...

also they chose the desert because it is ominous and best portrays the hardships of what he's been through...

    Journeys* Dunes* Scandal*

  • @DenialGuys Yea so all the idiots (eligable voters) who allowed their knowledge to be influenced by this entertainment - did not know about the Muslim Brotherhood. Of course they are surprised. Rightly so. And now they (the idiots) have caused more to die. Derserved, but not justified.

  • We have many stories about Lawrence of Arabia

I am an Arab Qrat The curse of many books differ from each other novels

  • ı dont lıke lawrence.. ı m turk and we will come again !!! we real Aslan ..next tıme we will roaring..only you wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @blueshine6100000

Ataturk said it best when he said "Here there is no enemy, there is no victory. Only boys who lost their lives in the sand" He said it of Gallipoli but it is just as true for Palastine/Jordan/Syria etc.

The ottoman empire is dead. Deal with it.

  • @Verminskyi can be your says but there are some really thing ..you must see to kıll thıs tıme and last ınnocent people . all right you thınk who did kill these ınnocent people ?? and why ??? so really do you know ottoman empire s aim ?? they are save all ınnocent opposed to felon country ..again really lion will stay up next tıme and roarıng !!

  • @Verminskyi No! just disguised for the idiots. The ottoman empire (and we) are currently using one of their other names - Sunni. Righard the Lion Heart dealt with them. So did Balfour, Chirchill, and Bush. Next !

  • ES628330989BR

  • Especiall love the beginning, very retro sounding

  • A true classic, they wont ever make anything like it again, the actors, the story everything is just amazing. Lawrence of Arabia is one of my heroes, overcoming the odds of the campaign and showing that the east and west can work together in peace, which nowadays is needed so much more...

  • @MrGezamo ha agreed its really sad that now our government is acually realizing his methods of helping work with the arabs is correct

ha all this time we have have been so ignorant...

T.E. Lawrence is watching us and facepalming

  • @MitchellPriceiscool so true hehe :)

  • @MrGezamo Altoguh afterwards West betrays East. Something that Lawrence regret forever until he died

  • I have seen this film 6 times, all on the silver screen.

The latter two screenings were in 2008 and 2010, and it is interesting to see how this film is more relevant now than when it was released.

  • There will never, ever, be a remake of this superb film.

    Why?

Well; how could you weave a middle aged, overweight, Afro-American police captain, and a piece of Hollywood knob-candy into this story?

  • The music and the movie... a match made in Heaven-:)

  • Great piano playing, love the cymbals, percussion too!

  • FRENCH STUFF BABY !

  • Magnificent movie, magnificent theme, and Peter O'Toole monumental as Lawrence.

  • SENSACIONAL!!! ETNIA FAZ PESSOAS E A MÚSICA, COM TODA SUA SENSIBILIDADE, FAZ GENTE. O MUNDO PRECISA É DE GENTE !!!

  • Lawrence never did anything 'wrong' compared to most ambassadors/explorers and military people he accomplished alot more in a more peaceful way than half the world's leaders. He did his best to free Arabia and unite them but the sad fact was they weren't ready or willing to work together

  • @4FabBEATLES Correct ! BUT why hasn't any one stood up for Lawrence. The British renegued on the Balfour Declaration and gave up Lawrence's accomplishments to the French (and their friends the Sunni's) in the secret Sykes Picot Agreement. So you can lay the blame on the British !

  • amazing music ! makes me think about desert ...sahara

  • this version was used in french commercial

  • spy lawrence, smart and bastard and son of the bitch

  • Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!♥♥♥

  • vamos! vamos! LOS REDONDOS!!!!!!!! JAJAJA

    Tremanda pelicula

  • This movie is a classic. There shouldn't be a reason to get to upset that a theme from a classic is on YouTube. The movie itself is great, and the theme goes perfect on it. :)

  • just great wonderful music

  • Thank God for FRENCH music

  • Right on u fantastic Turk...i mean Fanatic Turk.

  • @animatoralper Have you ever got things wrong.Read history. This was started by the English and the French.

  • @universalradio Exactly !!!! ever since Richard the Lion Heart King of England who lived in France ,and only went to England for about 2 years. He said he would sell London if he could find a buyer.

  • "Thirsty, I am so thirsty...And hungry and horny...But mostly just thirsty... I am so thirsty!" from ep16 s21 simpsons!!!

If you really hate english people, why do you bother to watch english videos and post hateful comments? If you can's say something at least half decent, STFU!
