  • I was wondering.. D300s.. worth buying? or wait? since im in desperado mode now.. I had my D80 for 5years now.. and Desperate to change since i work with sport.. and D300s + MD-10 = success (8fps)..

    Greatings from Sweden ;)

  • @ElbeardedAsian It works great today and it will work great in 5 years. For me, I never wait when there is something I want or need.

  • I'm using Canon 7D, but I watch your video for relaxation and to enjoy your gracious talks! You are really cute when dress up like this. Good contributions for the needy guys who need a lot of learning the trade. Wish you all the bests and success!!

  • @MrNyuntshwe Thanks! I'm hoping to get a 7D in my hands to review very soon! :)

  • Hi i have a sony @ 290 with standerd kit lens i was wondering what you could reccomend as a nice reasonably priced telephoto lens? many thanks

  • I got the feeling it was a lot easier to make good pictures in the analog era when I look at these camera's with loads of buttons :P

  • I would never hand my camera to a stranger, especially in Italy or Greece. Too risky. Pickpockets hang around the monuments asking to do this for you, only to walk or run off with your camera.

  • lol If those are all of hers, Im willing to bet shes in a world of debt!

  • @heavenwithin81 They are all mine (D3100 replaced D60 for me). These are the tools that I work with and I do not buy new cameras/equipment unless they are a good investment for my work. In short, you lost the bet. ;)

  • @TheSnapChick lol I sorry! I looked at all of those beauties and thought "holy shit that's a lot of money!!"

  • I had a nikon d2x but brother bought it off me.I am back to using nikon fm2 with motor drive for soccer photos and 1600 speed film as better than nikon d2x.Wait for new nikon pro dslr to come out so se why happens.

  • Very nice video.Do you still use the nikon d2x for night time sports photography.I find above iso 800 to hi1 and hi2 strings are pretty useless for night time sports photography with slow glass.Whats your opinion.

  • @superhoops2432 D2x at night needs fast glass or the night off. I use the D300s now when things get dim.

  • What kind of magic are you using to make the camera disappear at 1:48?

  • @bryonlape Cover the right-hand side of the video and you will see it ;)

  • @TheSnapChick ;) uhhh...ehmmmm.....anyway, I am quite glad you have a sense of humor about all our comments.

  • @bryonlape :) If I didn't have a sense of humor, posting videos on YouTube would not be good for my health :)

  • OMG SO MANY CAMERAS.

  • @GizmoBitz But only so many hands!

  • u are adorable :) i do the same thing when i hand my camera (D90) off. throw it in auto and hope they hold it straight

  • @nytovaok516 ... and they never do ;)

  • like im going to borrow my d300

  • if you had slightly longer hair, you'd be hot as.

On anothe rnote, you said what to put it on, but not WHY. might help people to know.

  • @TehHelpStation Check out my most recent videos. Hair much longer now :)

  • how much/ what all would I need to start a buisness?

  • thanks for replying... fairly decent equipment.. more hockey and baseball but I would also like to take more pictures with different sports too... and for the equipment everything I can afford for extra after the camera for 1200... I take sports photograpy but never got the corect camera that could use the attachments. Looking to start a buisness.

  • @noahturnzy A D3100 and a few lenses would be a good start. Ultimately, if you want to do this as a business, you will need to spend more than $1200 on the combination of a lens that can focus well in low light for indoor sports and for continuous aperture lenses, like the 70-200 f2.8, which cost more than $1200.

  • hi, whats the best camera for sports phtogrophy for around 1200 with equipment

    ?

  • @noahturnzy What kind of equipment and what kind of sports?

  • We have the same name!! and also I love all your videos, very informative :)

  • @leemxx Hi! Thanks :)

  • @BIGredsArtWORLD19 I am very happy with the D300s in low light. Everyone has a different threshold for noise, but I, personally, am comfortable shooting ISO 3200 with the D300s.

  • @BIGredsArtWORLD19 It will work with any Nikon lenses that are available as new lenses today. There are some very old lenses that will not work properly with it.

  • @BIGredsArtWORLD19 A lot of people think there will be a D700 replacement announced soon...

  • I lent my 1-month old DSLR with 30mm f1.4 to a guy who was a bit drunk, probably drugged, whom I just met. He spent some time with it, lying on the ground and what not.

I got great pictures back, many out-of-focus, but fitting the scene very well. And a funny movie :) Should you try this at home? Probably not. but I realized that great photos aren't necessarily the technically perfect photos I was trying to make. I'm doing stuff differently since then, still trying to let loose like that guy!

  • wow snapchick are does all ur cameras

  • I'm happy with my new entry level Canon DSLR

  • Nikon D7000 or D700?? wondering which one to buy for more advanced shoots.

  • @RareRubyImage There is no right or wrong answer here - you will get strong opinions for both. Personally, I would opt for the D7000, as I like the dual card slots, I own DX lenses, and it sells for a discount compared to the D700. Everyone has their own preferences and must-have buying points, however :)

  • i AGREE, lens camera of which there are many. You need one basic item that Nikon or any other manufacture cant give you. Its free but very importtant, and with ANY lens cheap or expensive you will NEVER fail to take great shots. An EYE. A creative eye is ALL thats needed. Whatever lens you use, or camera, will only be a bonus.

  • @RareRubyImage D700 will still be a better camera for a photographer. It is full frame, has better high ISO performance, and because of the larger sensor you get shallower depth of field. D7000 had advantages of being quicker out of the box, and having a very nice 1080p video with manual exposure. I have both, D700 is about 1.5 stops better in high ISO performance. If I had to chose one, as a pro wedding photographer I'd chose the D700 by FAR.

  • sooo many bodies... i would keep the d70 and d2x and sell the all the other bodies and buy some sweet lens'

  • @Transane Funny - that is almost exactly what I have done since this video was made... except I'm still trying to figure out what the next sweet lens will be!

  • @TheSnapChick

    soo many to choose from!

My lens collection has just begun, as i just got my D70. Ive been shooting with a super old Olympus, which i love to death as its limitations made me a far better photographer then i would have otherwise become.

my plan... cover the bases! started with an 18-55 EDII (should have bought a VR, but i have steady hands and wanted to save the money till i can afford a better lens). soon to get a nice telephoto...

if i had the money, Nikon 70-200mm VR II :)

  • @Transane Hi! It sounds like you're off to a great start! Unless you plan to shoot in dark conditions indoors, something like the 55-200 (VR or not) or 70-300VR are nice lenses. The 70-200 is very heavy to lug around - but the results are impeccable :)

  • @TheSnapChick thanks for the reply! you rock.

yeah, not much dark shooting, some low-light, but nothing that 400 iso and a wide aperture cant take care of.

ill be following your vids! just subscribed. love it.

  • @Transane Cool! Maybe I will bring the D70 out for some cameo appearances in some upcoming videos :)

  • @TheSnapChick haha that would be awesome!

you rock! keep doing what your doing... No way i could possibly compliment you to the extent that i would like to.

  • whoah! i love your buffet of cameras! :D

  • @gibor4975 We need to find an "all you can eat" buffet of cameras. :)

  • ahh but you forgot about the AF/M mode on the Lens!

  • @jjlwis Depends on the lens... :)

  • Why not buy D3 ?

No need for a full frame camera ?

  • @makzola D3 has lots of bang, but needs a lot of bucks!

  • Give me those cameras!

  • @jinkeesuh Come get 'em ;)

  • @TheSnapChick You look like a nice person so sure:P

  • you're so pretty:)

  • @musicreborn You're so kind :)

  • imo if they ask why there is nothing on the screen, just slap them in the face

  • Lol "I can't see anything" so true. Does the LV on D300s really disappear when shutter is half pressed cause the D90's doesn't

  • @BfoSHIZnats On the D300s, Live view has two modes - Handheld mode and Tripod mode. In Handheld mode, the mirror flips down on the half press, removing the image from live view. In Tripod mode, the mirror stays up on the half process, the camera uses contrast to focus, so the image stays on the LCD screen.

  • I love your love for that D300s;)...Hopefully ill get the same feeling soon^^

  • @staticro19 I hope you do, too!

  • Wow SnapChick nice camera collection.

  • @eaton1012 Thanks! 1 or 2 have gone to new homes :)

  • Do you use all of your cameras or do you regurlary stick to 1 or 2?

  • @lepermessiah01 I make sure to use them all, so that if I end up having to use one of the older cameras as a backup, I'm sharp and familiar with it.

  • Comment removed

  • @lepermessiah01 I use them fairly interchangeably. I use the D2x mostly in the studio because of the integrated vertical grip. The D300s is lighter in the field. I am more "used to" the D2x because I have been using it for years. Either would be good for a photojournalist. The D300s is far superior in low light, high ISO situations.

  • @TheSnapChick Oooh thank you

  • omg. D2x

  • No, most photographers don't hand off their camera expecting good photos. High end D80, seriously?!?!?

  • I love me new kikon D300s! My first camera. What type of lens should I use for theme parks? Thanks

  • @007Hunkguy Theme parks have everything, near and far. If I were doing to Disneyland, I'd bring my 18-200 and shoot all day! Leigh

  • What kind of photographer are you? Fashion? Sports?

  • @robib2 I try to be ready for everything. :)

  • I pray and think happy thoughts

  • @AdurianJ I insist that you make a video of that! :)

  • AdamBoon - There is virtually no reason to choose the D2x over the D300s. I do enjoy the virtually-military-grade build quality of the D2x, but unless you're going into a war zone, the D300s is the better choice. D2x battery is better, but the D300s can use the same battery with the optional grip. As far as image quality goes, the D2x is great at ISO 100. At ISO 400 and above, the D300s is many levels of magnitude better.

  • How do you find the D2x's image quality compared to say, the D300s? I'm considering buying a D2x myself as an upgrade to my D40x. Is it worth going for the D2x considering it uses a much older sensor?

  • Comment removed

  • Close! Actually the D60 is my absolute favorite for grabbing and running out the door with. I use the D300s and D2x for pro work, but he D60 is the one I love.

  • WOW, nice collection of cameras.

    Which one is your favorite?

    Let me guess, D300S ?
